The Eagles placed Bigsby (abdomen) on injured reserve Tuesday, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.
Johnson announced Tuesday via social media that he has retired from professional football.
Kmet caught both of his targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 23-12 win over the Jets.
Johnson rushed four times for 16 yards in Sunday's 23-12 win over the Jets. He added one catch for seven yards on one target.
Raymond caught two passes for six yards and returned two punts for 16 yards during Chicago's win Sunday over the Jets.
Wicks caught three of five targets for 18 yards during Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Rams.
Jurgens entered the NFL's five-step concussion protocol Monday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Ertz reverted to the Eagles' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Lemon caught three of six targets for 27 yards during Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Rams.
Barkley (hamstring) is considered week-to-week, though the Eagles don't view the injury as long term, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
It’s rare for Las Vegas to make a handicapping mistake. Sharps and squares both seem heavy on Philadelphia, and Vegas was not built on winners. It’s clear there is an expectation that Ben Johnson will simply outscheme the Eagles; that’s a lot of trust to put in someone who is not physically on the field. It’s tough to see a path with the Bears starting Case Keenum, who has not played meaningful snaps in three years. The Eagles have their issues, but what are the hosts going to look like without Caleb Williams’ legs extending plays? The running game has largely thrived due to Williams’ legs, and the receiving output has been mediocre. Philly should get a bunch of extra opportunities. Try to get -3.
D'Andre Swift is the better receiving back in Chicago. He drew six targets last week, catching five passes for 54 yards. With the Bears potentially playing from behind and Case Keenum likely looking to make quick throws, I expect Swift to get involved as a receiver once again.
So all I need is once catch here from Darius Cooper? Jalen Hurts reportedly is fond of the second-year undrafted wideout from Tarleton State as it is and Cooper might was targeted three times last week against the Titans and caught two including the late winning score. That has to earn him even more looks from Hurts not that Cooper is on the field that much. But no Dallas Goedert and Makai Lemon has been a bust some there might be some targets/catches. One more pass-catcher Philly in-game injury, and we likely do cash. Our model has Cooper with two. If this is a rout either way, he'll be out there plenty too.
This is a very attractive number for a QB still extremely capable of taking off and could eclipse this line on a single rushing attempt. Hurts is averaging 31 rushing yards per game and is averaging just under 40 throughout his career. Hurts is healthier than he has been for a long time and I like his chances to cash this prop.
The Bears go into this game with Case Keenum at QB, and that means we should see a focus on running the ball. If it works, the Bears will chew up clock and limit the number of Eagles possessions. If it doesn't, the Eagles should maintain a lead throughout. Either scenario means limiting the number of pass attempts Hurts should receive as the game goes along. Last year, Hurts threw more than 28 passes in a win just once, topping out at 30 and averaging 24.5 attempts in those games. Last week's high-attempt game should be an outlier, and I like Hurts to revert to form tonight.
It’s been a disaster for Colston Loveland from a statistical standpoint through the first two weeks of his sophomore season. I was extremely bullish entering the season after watching Colston be heavily featured to close the 25 season and in the playoffs. I still believe Loveland is going to get on track and this looks like a good buy low opportunity. Bears starter Case Keemun historically has peppered his Tight Ends and I expect that to be the case tonight as the Bears are likely to operate out of a lot of heavy personnel formation. Despite Loveland failing to make an impact on the scoresheet, he’s route participation is still elite. Look for Keenum to rely on Loveland tonight.
If there's an area that can be exploited in the Philadelphia defense, it's the middle of the field. And Luther Burden III is Chicago's best chance of finding success in that matchup. Last week, two Commanders slot receivers, Stefon Diggs and Antonio Williams both had at least 40 yards receiving and a score. I would be surprised if Bears third string quarterback Case Keenum takes many shots down the field, so using Burden as a safety blanket makes the most sense. I think Burden also tops 40 yards as the Bears attempt to have a semblance of a passing attack on Monday night.
DraftKings. Case Keenum will get the start for the Bears - his first since 2023. He hasn’t completed a pass of at least 20 air yards since 2019, and now has the task of facing the Eagles stout pass defense. Tyson Bagent did pass concussion protocol, and while he isn’t starting, I would assume the possibility of him playing is in order if Chicago is in need of offense. Even with this Bears offense flush with playmakers, I’d have to think Keenum would need some YAC help to clear this line, and the Eagles are sound defensively on that front. I’d bet this down to under 29.5.
Case Keenum is 38 and hasn't played since the 2023 season. With Tyson Bagent available but coming off a concussion, Keenum is expected to start for Chicago. Either way, Vic Fangio's defense -- which could see Jonathan Greenard make his season debut -- should dominate. The Eagles definitely remember giving up 281 rushing yards to Chicago in a 24-15 loss on the Friday after Thanksgiving last year. So far this season, Philly has been beset by poor offensive line play, but that unit took a big step forward in the game-winning 65-yard TD drive last week at Tennessee. I would play this up to -4.
The Eagles had won six straight meetings over the Bears until last November, when the Bears won 24-15. The Eagles covered five of those games. The Bears will be using third-string quarterback Case Keenum as Caleb Williams and his backup are out for the game. The Bears have the No. 1 running game in the NFL but no Caleb to sell it. It'll be great football weather: 66° with barely any wind and no rain. Jalen Hurts and the Eagles have played a conservative offense and had trouble with Washington, and last week in Tennessee, Hurts threw two interceptions. The Eagles haven't covered any game this season, but they're 2-0. Eagles defense comes up with the win and cover.
Do you remember the Black Friday game last year? The Bears ran 40 times against the Eagles and the running backs racked up 255 rushing yards. I'm not expecting that outcome necessarily on Monday Night. But with the Bears' QB situation murky, I do expect them to lean on the running game. RB Kyle Monagai is expected to play. But D'Andre Swift had 67% of the snaps last week. He's also exceeded this carries line in each of the first two games. You could approach his rushing line too, but I expect the Bears to heavily lean on Swift in this game. So I like approaching it this way.
Prime time road chalk! What could go wrong?!!? Honestly, the only thing that could go wrong here is Ben Johnson magically manufacturing 17+ points for this Chicago offense with either a banged up Tyler Bagent or a 38-year-old Case Keenum. I don't think the Eagles are anything remotely close to a juggernaut on offense, but defensively they're elite. The Eagles really, really should score 21 points at bare minimum here against a Bears defense that can't stop anyone without hefty wind and rain conditions in play. So to cover this, in my mind, the Bears need to score 17 points. I think Ben Johnson is a genius but without Caleb Williams I don't see that happening so we back the Eagles.
I just can’t quit the Eagles, 0-2 ATS so far. But now they’re facing Case Keenum and a Bears defense that’s bottom-10 vs. both the run and the pass so far. Chicago’s run game has been effective because Caleb Williams was a passing threat. That won’t be the case here, so the Eagles can exert some muscle inside. Philly’s playcalling has been lacking, making games closer than they should be. But they can get Saquon Barkley going here, making Jalen Hurts more dangerous.
FanDuel. Dontayvion Wicks is over this line in both games for the Eagles, with 73 and 74 yards. Easily the number two target for Jalen Hurts right now, the matchup Monday sets up perfectly for him. The Bears have run the third highest rate of man coverage thus far - Wicks has been much more efficient against man in his career. The Bears secondary is also decimated by injuries, and have shown they can be beat downfield. Dallas Goedert is out, Makai Lemon has yet to make a real impact, and the run game/offensive line looks out of sorts in the new offense. Smash spot for Wicks - I’d bet this up to over 43.5 yards.
Caleb Williams seems unlikely to play after being deemed week-to-week, and Tyson Bagent could also be sidelined. I love the matchup for this Eagles defense against Bagent or Case Keenum. The final score against the Titans was tighter than it might have been thanks to a long interception return setting up a Tennessee touchdown and taking points from Philadelphia, and with Chicago's questionable defense, we could see a final score around 31-13 like we might have had without that one bad play. I have this line at 4.5 so I'm going to grab the 3 in case it moves.
The Eagles have shown me nothing through 2 weeks on offense with 318 and 341 yards against the Commanders and Titans. And inside those numbers, 79 yards and 65 yards were their last drives of of each game, when they needed to score. The first 3.5 quarters were awful. Remove those two drives, and the Eagles produced 34 points on 17 possessions, while losing 12.2 expected points on their 106 rushes/dropbacks. As for those record setting Bears, well the drop off from 59 points to 3 points was stark. Less than 300 yards.. 4.2 yards per play, a far cry from 7.7 in Week 1. Chicago’s running game produced −9.3 EPA. Caleb Williams status up in the air and shouldn't be scared of Tyson Bagent.
