The Broncos are confident that Bryant avoided a long-term right ankle injury after an MRI on Monday yielded good news, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Badie carried twice for seven yards, caught both of his targets for 32 yards, ran in a two-point conversion and returned one kickoff for 21 yards in a loss to San Francisco in Week 4.
Engram caught one of five targets for six yards during Sunday's 24-14 loss to the 49ers.
Higbee caught five of six targets for 67 yards in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Eagles.
The Rams are hopeful that Watson (shoulder) will return to practice for Week 5 preparation, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reported Monday.
Mumpfield suffered a rotator cuff contusion during Sunday's 24-20 win over the Eagles, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
Moss had imaging done on his ribs Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Head coach Sean McVay is hopeful that Donald (back) will play in his team's Monday night matchup against the Bills in Week 5, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports. "That's the direction it looks like it's trending in," McVay said.
Surtain (ankle) is expected to miss "about two weeks," Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports.
Bryant is expected to miss "a few weeks" after spraining his right ankle in Sunday's 24-14 loss to the 49ers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
It’s always difficult to go against the Broncos in Mile High Stadium, and the Rams are not necessarily the easiest call coming off a short week with Puka Nacua out of action. However, Los Angeles is positioned where it still must atone for its Week 1 loss, and I’m taking Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford over Sean Payton and Bo Nix on most occasions. Denver may get out to a hot start, but over time, Los Angeles should hold defensively and chip away if it does face an early deficit. Aaron Donald will see more action, making life difficult for Nix, and Blake Corum should do well to extend the offense out of the backfield.
Prime time the featured players are going to get the spotlight, but often you can look for unheralded players to cash on. I do believe the Rams could be in position late where they are not having to play tight defense, and the Broncos will have a drive where backups will get an opportunity. Adam Trautman has just two catches on the season for ten yards. This is strictly a game script value play where he gets one catch with some YAC with tackling not a high need. Take his yardage over.
Bo Nix and Sean Payton have shown their strength at home where they have gone 14 and 3. We’ve seen them cover several instances as a home underdog. Tonight though I believe their strong home record takes a hit, even with the Rams on a short week. Sean Payton has a 1-3 record against Sean McVay, and is 4 and 6 against the Rams as a head coach. Rams weather the storm early and get the win/cover.
FanDuel. This will be uncomfortable after last week, but I’m fading Davante Adams on his longest reception prop. The Giants had no answer for him last week, but tonight, all signs to Adams getting the Pat Surtain shadow treatment. Surtain has allowed exactly two catches of 25+ yards since the beginning of last season (one was 26 yards, and one was a product of YAC). As great as Adams is, Surtain is better at his craft at their respective point on their careers. I don’t have a 25 yard catch happening for Davante tonight.
FanDuel. Coming off of a dud, I like this as a bounce back for Pat Bryant. The Broncos receiver is second on the team in routes run and first read rate - and this is a low line for a second option in what I read to be a pass heavy game for the Broncos. Jaylen Waddle popped last game, but that target volume (10 on 22 routes) is unsustainable, and likely a focal point after Week 1. The Rams are equipped to defend him, and Bo Nix will be forced to spread the ball around. I have Bryant closer to 30 yards.
Yeah, I bet the Broncos almost religiously when I'm getting points at home against anybody. I've been doing it forever, and I don't know my exact record, but I think I'm like 76% or something. It doesn't happen too often either, so when I see plus points for the Broncos in Denver, I'm taking them. I can give you player stats and numbers, but that's basically the deal here. The Broncos are at home, and they're getting points from the Rams. Okay, I just bet it and said thank you.
Denver snatched victory from the jaws of defeat last week rattling off 17 straight points against the Jags at home for yet another Bo Nix comeback victory. How did they do that? Their defense bent but never broke and this week get to face a Rams team without it's most dynamic weapon. On the other side we saw the impact Aaron Donald can have on the interior and while the scoreline was a bit flattering once Dart left the game I really believe Chris Shula is figuring out his personnel. Defense rules in Denver Sunday night...
The Rams bounced back nicely from their quick trip to Australia last week, dominating the Giants without their best weapon. Puka Nacua is not expected back this week, and I expect this elite Denver defense will do a much better job of limiting Davante Adams and forcing the Rams to find another way to win. The Broncos offense took massive strides in Week 2 despite the difficult matchup, and though I don't quite trust them fully get, I'll take them to learn those lessons and continue pushing the ball downfield in this matchup. With no Nacua, I wouldn't make this more than a pick 'em.
By suffocating the New York Giants following the unfulfilling getaway to Australia. L.A. restored its status as the league’s best team — at least on American soil. Small spreads like this will be rare on the Rams' schedule. For Denver, while two games is a small sample, the 25th-ranked offense figures to get the brick-wall treatment from the Rams’ D, especially with three of the four rostered RBs ailing and DT Aaron Donald sure to get more than the 33 snaps he had in his un-retirement game last weekend. The mile-high challenge is real, but the Rams prefer it to the one Down Under.
