There are some massive lines this week, but some are actually worth taking with the Chargers being among that group. The Titans are heavily injured at key positions whereas the visitors are relatively healthy with Hassan Haskins the notable absence; all that does is open more touches for Kimani Vidal, who deserves them. Justin Herbert should have no issue picking apart the Tennessee secondary with all the time he’s going to get in the pocket, especially with Joe Alt back. His weaponry is varied and effective with Oronde Gadsden II’s emergence. Six of the Titans’ seven losses have come by double digits – average of 18.8 points in those contests. Tennessee has only found the end zone 2+ times in a game once all season.

Kimani Vidal has awoken the Chargers rush attack, which this team desperately needed. LA are -10.5 favorites over the woeful Titans, and if they are playing with the lead early, Vidal could be in line for another 18-20 carries. Tennessee has had very little go right for them this year, and the injury report is getting bleak. Their defense will now be without its best player DT Jeffrey Simmons, along with LB Arden Key and FS Xavier Woods. Vidal ran for 100+ yards against the Dolphins & the Vikings in recent games. He should be able to exploit this beat up Titans defense that is allowing explosive run plays.

Kimani Vidal has become the workhorse for the Bolts due to injuries. The Titans are terrible against the run (and at most things), including surrendering a whopping 14 rushing TDs, by far most in the league. Not like Justin Herbert is going to vulture a goal-line TD.
With the emergence of rookie TE Oronde Gadsden II, the Chargers have multiple weapons around Justin Herbert to help him be successful. It's been hard to watch the Titans offense this season because of their inability to protect up front. This is another bad matchup for them, which will reflect in the scoreboard at the end of the game.
The Titans are doing their best to help shed the league’s reputation of games being decided in the last minute or two. Their last half-dozen defeats happened by double-digits. With several instances of improved health, the Chargers can continue the pattern. Most significatly, OT Joe Alt returned last week from a hiatus, and it was no coincidence that L.A. slapped Minnesota around for 37 points. But this pick is more about Tennessee. It traded a starting DB this week, following another discharge from the secondary last week. The Titans already are looking to 2026., with four starters being held out. Amidst a 1-6 ATS slump that includes 0-3 at home this season, who can fault them?

I love this matchup for Justin Herbert and company. First and foremost having Joe Alt back in the lineup cannot be understated enough, it makes Herbert and LAC’s passing offense elite. Couple that with the emergence of Oronde Gadsden and getting to face a massive pass funnel who happens to be missing their best pass rusher/defensive player. I expect the Chargers to attack the Titans through the air and if Tennessee are capable of pushing LA, this could get really fun.
The injury news keeps getting worse for the Titans. Tight end Chig Okonkwo did not practice Thursday due to a new foot injury, joining Jeffery Simmons, Calvin Ridley, Arden Key, Xavier Woods and others on the sidelines. Chargers safety Derwin James is trending toward playing, while Joe Alt is not even on the injury report. The Chargers are 4-0 SU and 3-0-1 ATS with Alt protecting Justin Herbert's blind side. They are 1-3 SU and 0-4 ATS without Alt. Titans interim coach Mike McCoy has operated conservatively and not provided any bounce, Tennessee losing his two games by an average of 21 points. I'm fine laying anything less than 10.
