Internally, the Giants are crowing about Jaxson Dart. Against SEC competition – other than Arkansas – he threw for seven touchdowns and four interceptions. Total. Some players are better in the pros than in college, but leading a Lane Kiffin offensive attack, that’s suspect. Beyond that, he’s a rookie NFL QB starting his first game against a Jim Harbaugh and Jesse Minter defense. This line would be more significant if Los Angeles was not going cross-country ater a hard-fought win, but Harbaugh is not the type of coach to let his players get complacent. Russell Wilson was not New York’s only problem, and Justin Herbert alone offers a significant talent edge offensively.

FanDuel. When a rookie quarterback makes his first start, there’s obviously a lot of unknowns, but let’s focus on what we do know. Jaxson Dart is a dual threat quarterback who ran a run-pass option heavy offense in college. Giants head coach Brian Daboll’s offenses are centered around mobile quarterbacks, as we’ve seen previously with Daniel Jones and Josh Allen. And Dart has even seen limited action to run said RPOs. Between those designed runs and his scrambling ability, I do see this as a line that’s worth a shot at plus-odds. The Chargers have allowed each of the three quarterbacks they’ve faced to clear their rush attempts line this season (without any kneel-downs factored in).

Cameron Dicker is 7 for 7 on field goals this season, and he's made at least two in each game. Dating back to last season, he's drilled two or more field goals in 16 of 21 games. LA should have plenty of offensive opportunities in this game, and winds will be light, making Dicker a good bet yet again.
The New York Giants are coming off an embarrassing performance on Sunday night football, and will now turn to Jaxson Dart at quarterback. The Giants had six players upgraded from questionable giving the offense a boost, and the Chargers are one of the more road heavy teams to begin the year. They played in Brazil, Vegas, and now make the cross country flight to New York. Grab the big points here with the Giants.

I've been a big Cam Skattebo truther all offseason, and now he should have plenty of touches and opportunity as the Giants' RB1 with Tyrone Tracy out. Skattebo has found the endzone the past two games. Just like he found the endzone 22 times last year at Arizona State. Yes, this is the NFL now, but Skattebo has already shown he can be a great goal-line rusher at this level. The Giants may not score a ton of points Sunday, but Skattebo is the most likely to score per the odds. And we are getting plus money for him to find the endzone again...sign me up!

Now that RB Najee Harris is out for the season, it is Omarion Hampton's backfield for the Chargers. This is a situation where opportunity meets matchup. With a full workload and likely positive game script for the Chargers, Hampton should have several scoring opportunities Sunday. The Giants are a great matchup, allowing 5.2 yards per carry to enemy running backs. They have also allowed four rushing touchdowns in three games so far this season. Hampton got his first touchdown last week, and I look for him to find the endzone again Sunday.

Omarion Hamptons numbers may not jump off the page or look particularly impressive, but I am very bullish on the rookies outlook starting this week. With Najee Harris sidelined for the season, Hampton is set to handle a large workload. Hampton gets to face a Giants defense 32 in defensive rushing DVOA and 30th in EPA allowed per rush, couple that with the Chargers checking in as 6.5 point favorites, this looks like a true breakout spot.

Omarion Hampton isn't exactly underknown by any stretch, but in the wake of Najee Harris' season-ending Achilles tear, he saw a massive usage spike in Week 3, running the ball 19 times and catching six passes from Justin Herbert. That should continue into Week 4 and the matchup is CHOICE. According to Fantasy Points Data, the Chargers are using gap blocking on 57 percent of his runs this season and the Giants are giving up 6.7 ypc to gap-blocking runs on defense.
The Jaxson Dart era begins for the Giants as they look to spark the offense, and the potential upside makes them a decent spread play at +6.5. But my ratings say the line is just about right, so I'd rather play this first half number before the Chargers have a chance to see Dart in action and adjust at halftime. Brian Daboll is coaching for his job, and I'm interested to see what new wrinkles the offense has early in this game. Dart also is facing a less dangerous pass rush with Khalil Mack's injury, while the Chargers O-line has to contend with a quality Giants pass-rushing group. Let's count on a close game early.
After knocking off three straight division foes and establishing themselves as Super Bowl contenders, the Chargers are subject to a letdown in a cross-country game against a downtrodden opponent. Saving them from being prone to an upset could be a QB switch by the Giants. Russell Wilson has been dreadful in two of three games, but getting rookie Jaxson Dart in his debut could be a gift that keeps on giving (for 60 minutes, anyway). Dart must decipher an L.A. defense that is yielding the fourth fewest points and eighth fewest yards. On offense, while the loss of injured RB Najee Harris hurts, QB Justin Herbert is performing on an MVP level, with more passing yards than any peer.
