Some of the Trail Blazers looked awed by the moment in Game 1, but not Scoot Henderson. He scored 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting and was only minus-3 in a game his team lost by 13. Henderson had the best plus-minus of any Portland starter. Henderson, the former No. 3 overall pick, averaged 14.2 points this season. Even though this is a tough defensive matchup, I expect him to play around 30 minutes and score at least 11 points.

Lost in the shuffle of the San Antonio Spurs game one victory was their rookies performance in Dylan Harper. It was his first playoff game, and Harper contributed six points with four rebounds. Prior to the playoffs, Harper had scored double digits in eleven straight games. I look for him to shine enough tonight in the scoring department now that he has his feet wet in the playoffs. Both possible ways the game goes tonight Harper is a Spurs player thats role should not deviate. A blowout he will be on the court in the fourth, and if the Trailblazers push the Spurs tonight I expect Coach Johnson to mix it up with his bench. Play Harper’s over.

FanDuel (1.5u). Deni Avdija closed the regular season on a tear, averaging 28.2 points per game in April, before netting 41 in the play-in game against Phoenix. Coming off a 30-point performance in game 1, in 39 minutes, Deni looks primed to continue his scoring surge tonight. The Spurs defensive strategy is to limit transition opportunities and make you beat them one-on-one, which suits the aggressive forward well. Deni drove the ball 22 times in Game 1, akin to his league leading 19.4 per game in the regular season. The Spurs were below average in pick and roll points allowed this season, and I expect Deni to ramp up his scoring efforts even more in Game 2.

Stephon Castle only shot 4-for-13 from the field in Game 1. Still, he finished with seven rebounds and seven assists. Including the regular season, Castle has averaged 9.2 assists over his last 14 games. In 12 of those games, he finished with at least seven assists. Game 2 will be played in San Antonio, where Castle averaged 7.6 assists this season. With plenty of minutes coming his way as the Spurs try to grab a 2-0 lead in the series, Castle has an excellent opportunity to record at least seven assists.

Despite losing Game 1 to the Spurs, Deni Avdija stuffed the stat sheet and compiled 45 combined PRA while logging just under 40 minutes. Avdija has eclipsed this combo line in eight consecutive games dating back to the regular season. Avdija is playing big minutes and looks fully healthy right now. I expect his usage rate to continue to spike in Game 2. I would play this combo line at 37.5 as well.
