Another major legal online casino operator has chosen to nix credit cards from its list of accepted payment methods, as Caesars Entertainment made it known to its customers that it will remove the option from all of its sites and apps. That, of course, includes Caesars Palace Online Casino as well as Horseshoe Casino and Caesars Sportsbook & Casino. Use the Caesars Palace Online Casino promo code SPORTSLINE2500 for a deposit match up to $1,000 in casino credits plus a $10 sign-up bonus:

Caesars Palace Online Casino no longer accepts credit cards

Caesars stopped accepting credit cards across its online gambling sites in April, meaning new players who sign up with the Caesars Casino bonus code will need to find an alternative payment method.

According to multiple media reports, Caesars decided following months of independent review and careful evaluation, a process that began in the fall of 2025. During that time, Caesars said, the company took into account its own deposit processes as well as customer preferences.

As a spokesperson noted, by eliminating credit cards from its online casino payment methods, Caesars simplifies the deposit experience while improving operational efficiency. It also emphasized the commitment of the real money online casino operator to creating a customer-first product. Claim the Caesars Palace Online Casino promo code SPORTSLINE2500 for a deposit match up to $1,000 in casino credits and a $10 sign-up bonus here:

The growing trend continues for online casinos banning credit cards

In recent months, some of the top legal online casinos in the U.S. have followed a similar path. DraftKings Casino and Golden Nugget were part of the earliest wave to remove themselves from the list of online casinos that accept credit cards.

Then, earlier this year, FanDuel Casino did the same. More recently, BetMGM Casino announced its intention to phase out credit cards as accepted payment methods. That was followed shortly after by bet365 Casino removing the option.

While all of this is going on, state regulators and lawmakers have worked to pass legislation that would create a wide-ranging prohibition of credit card usage for playing casino games online. And it's not just at the state level, as Congress has even considered the idea.

These efforts reflect a perceived growing need to better protect consumers. By eliminating credit cards as payment method options, the rationale goes, it produces an industry of safe online casinos with more responsible gaming tools.

After all, credit cards essentially allow customers to borrow money to gamble with, which can lead to larger amounts of debt. Prohibiting credit card usage, it creates a more mindful and secure industry that has stronger responsible gambling approaches. Get started here:
