Bet365 Casino no longer accepting credit card payment methods
As part of a growing trend, bet365 Casino is the latest legal online casino operator to take credit cards off its list of accepted payment methods.

The trend continues: Bet365 Casino no longer accepts credit cards as payment methods. It's the latest in a string of legal online casino operators to remove the option, one that has been urged by many responsible gambling advocates to help prevent users from falling into debt playing casino games online.
No more credit card payment methods accepted at bet365 Casino
Starting April 13, bet365 Casino began enforcing its no credit card policy for deposits, which also applies to its online sportsbook. Any transaction made prior to that date would still be honored.
Removing credit cards as accepted online casino payment methods has become a growing trend among licensed casino apps in the US. More often than not, it has been the result of real money online casino operators looking to improve responsible gambling.
Many have pushed for credit card bans for years, noting that users can essentially borrow money from banking institutions to gamble and even fall into debt that far exceeds their budgetary restrictions.Â
On top of that, because the money doesn't come directly from their bank accounts, players could potentially chase losses in hopes of recouping their money – which only makes matters worse.
Lawmakers working toward industry-wide ban on credit cards for NJ online casinos
With the iGaming industry nearly 13 years old, New Jersey lawmakers have long sought to prohibit NJ online casinos from accepting credit cards as payment methods, emphasizing consumer protection as well as responsible gambling.
Some of the state's top operators have already removed themselves from the list of online casinos that accept credit cards.
DraftKings Casino was among the first to make the change last fall, followed by FanDuel Casino earlier this year.
More recently, BetMGM Casino indicated that it would phase out credit cards as accepted payment methods when speaking with Pennsylvania regulators.
