Missouri AG Hanaway continues battle against illegal gambling machines
Despite recent lawsuits against her office, Attorney General Catherine Hanaway insists on pursuing and seizing unregulated slots-like games in bars and gas stations.

Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway has been on a mission to rid the state of unregulated video gaming terminals (VLTs). However, she's recently faced challenges, including multiple lawsuits from opponents of her actions.
Despite the recent legal challenges, Hanaway has no plans of halting her crackdown on bars and restaurants offering unregulated slots-like games.
Hanaway seizing VLTs and reaching agreements
The Missouri AG has successfully removed many gambling machines from bars and restaurants. Speaking with KY3 Springfield, Hanaway explained that a combination of contacting game distributors and executing search warrants on businesses has helped achieve her goal.
"We've reached agreements with some of the biggest owners of these machines that have then distributed it out to convenience stores and lots of other places," she said. "And then we've also had some search warrants where the Highway Patrol has seized machines in, now, about 10 counties."
