Zay Flowers is active for the Ravens, but he’s supposedly only going to be used in a limited capacity. His presence could help Baltimore stretch the field and keep Dallas honest because the Ravens are about to deliver a one-two rushing punch of Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson that should control the clock and lead to significant gains through a rough Cowboys defense. Dak Prescott has plenty of talent to combat Baltimore, but the strange field conditions make the passing game far less reliable – and that is where Dallas thrives. If Flowers can actually participate in positive offensive plays, the Ravens could win more definitively.
Dallas allowed Jaxson Dart 54 yards and Jayden Daniels 69 in one half before he got injured. The Cowboys have allowed an NFL-high 126 rushing yards to QBs on 19 carries (6.6 YPC). Lamar Jackson is averaging 6.7 yards per rush, taking off 7 times for 40 yards and a TD vs. Indy and 4 times for 34 yards vs. New Orleans. Lamar hit 35+ yards rushing in three of his first four games last season before he got injured. Jackson has also rushed for 181 yards in two career games against Dallas, topping 85 yards in both.
This is a big number but two things make me love The King in this matchup. One, we have a weird field scenario in Brazil where we don't know how it will affect these two offenses. Two, we have a huge total. So the expectation for points is there. Maybe the field is a problem and the points don't come. But the total speaks to the defenses in play here and what they'll give up scoring wise. As such, I think there's a good chance after not letting Henry run in the second half last week we see the Ravens lean heavy on him here and he rips off a couple big runs to cruise past this. Definitely a ladder situation.
