After losing Game 2 at home, the Celtics need a win on the road Friday to take back control of this series. When they blew the 76ers out in Game 1, Jaylen Brown only needed to play 30 minutes. He still scored 26 points. The Celtics only scored 97 points in Game 2, but 36 of them came from Brown. In this series, he has combined for 45 shot attempts and 14 free throw attempts. His usage rate should remain high, so I like his chances of scoring at least 26 points.
FanDuel. Jayson Tatum has notched 23 and 18 combined rebounds and assists through the series first two games. In fact, he’s cleared this line in eight of the last 10 games, with his potential chances per minute and conversion rates remaining remarkably consistent (with the exception of the two misses, both versus Charlotte). With Jaylen Brown shouldering the scoring load, Tatum has contributed in the secondary areas. And coming off a loss, I expect Tatum’s minutes floor to be even more secure tonight.
Celtics F Jayson Tatum has reached 33 points + rebounds in nine of his last 10 games and gone over the P/R prop in 13 of 18 games since returning from injury. During the last 10 games, he is averaging 35.3 P/R, four points higher than his career average (31.8). In the two games vs. the 76ers this series, Tatum is averaging 22 points and 12.5 boards (17.0 reb chances)
BetRivers is offering 9.5 juiced but I am also good with going Over 10.5 at plus money. Jayson Tatum continues to post big rebounding numbers against all teams not named Charlotte. He has 11 and 14 rebounds so far against Philly.
