Slated to start yesterday, the Giants pushed him back to today - Roupp has already pitched 25 innings more than his previous professional career high, and this could be a sign that they’re scaling back his workload (and his recent struggles could be fatigue setting in). Regardless, he’ll face a patient Diamondbacks lineup that he’s had little success against in his career.

Now he’s back from a minor league stint in which he posted a 6.83 ERA in 29 IP. The Giants' OPS of .748 over the last two weeks is notably better than the D'backs' .689. We'll trust Giants RHP Landen Roupp to fight through 4-5 frames and hand it to a pen with a 2.52 ERA since mid-August.
I was very annoyed when the Giants switched pitchers late on Wednesday and didn't start Landon Roupp. But fortunately their bullpen gave up seven runs in the 9th inning and I got a gift victory with the Reds. Now Roupp is slated to throw on Thursday against the Diamondbacks. Since May, San Francisco is 2-17 when the right hander pitches. It's literally unfathomable to think about considering the Giants were 5-1 when Roupp took the hill in March and April. Arizona is scheduled to start Jose Cabrera, who was not successful earlier this season, but I'm still fading the lowly Giants and Roupp when I can.
