Another big number in a conference championship game. While Texas is by far the better, this just seems like to many points. The Cowboys have won seven of their last eight games and shown their defense can step up in big games, beating Oklahoma this season granted that was at home. Not saying that the Cowboys are going to win this game, but Mike Gundy is a good enough coach to keep his team within the number.
Not sure if Mike Gundy can actually pull this upset, but Ok State looms dangerous nonetheless and worth consideration at this inflated price against a team the Cowboys beat last year (41-34) at Stillwater. OSU's season began to ascend when Gu8ndy decided upon Texas Tech transfer Alan Bowman at QB, which in turn opened the field for RB Ollie Gordon II. Prior to last week's romp over a Texas Tech side that had effectively quit, the Longhorns hadn't experienced an easy afternoon for more than a month. Play Oklahoma State
Analysis to come. One and a half units on the over.
Everything is on the line for the Longhorns, and it’s doubtful that they will open things up very much knowing that a College Football Playoff berth is within reach. Simply put, they don’t need style points. They just need one domino to fall. Meanwhile, the Cowboys will rely heavily on superstar running back Ollie Gordon II to try to shorten the game and have a chance in the fourth quarter.
The Big 12 Championship Game for some reason usually produces unders, as eight straight have gone under the total. Texas is ranked #1 in every major statistical defensive category in the conference and I believe they need to look dominant in order to gain additional favor from the committee in the event of a Florida State loss. Texas 34, Oklahoma State 13.
This is an awful matchup for Oklahoma State. The Cowboys turned around their season once they were able to effectively run the ball. But Texas, led by Outland Trophy finalist T'Vondre Sweat, allows just 85.0 rushing yards per game (No. 3 in the country). On the outside, Oklahoma State lacks a receiver who can beat the Longhorns defensive backs downfield. Meanwhile Texas' potent running game faces a Cowboys defense that coughs up 172.0 rushing yards per game (102nd in the nation). The Longhorns also own a huge edge in special teams. With Texas looking to impress the CFP selection committee and wanting to make a statement in its final game in the Big 12, the Longhorns roll in a big way.
