BetMGM renews MLB partnership with plans for more co-branded casino games

MGM Resorts International will continue to be a major part of Major League Baseball, as the hospitality and gaming giant announced a renewal of its longstanding partnership with MLB. The multiyear extension, building upon the two sides' first agreement in 2018, allows MGM Resorts to remain the league's exclusive resort and casino partner, while also allowing BetMGM Casino to continue creating MLB-based online casino content.

For nearly a decade, MGM has held close ties to MLB, with the original 2018 agreement making BetMGM the league's first official gaming and sports betting partner, according to a press release.

With this most recent extension, MGM will continue to market its legal sports betting and real money online casino offerings across MLB platforms, which include MLB Network, MLB.com and the league's digital portfolio. BetMGM will also maintain sponsorship integration across MLB content on Apple TV.

On top of it all, the BetMGM Casino app will continue to develop and offer co-branded, MLB-themed games.

Matt Prevost, chief revenue officer at BetMGM, said in a statement that MLB "offers one of the most engaging, data-rich experiences in sports." The renewed partnership, he added, "underscores our shared commitment to innovation, integrity, and responsibility.

"Together," Prevost said, "we're enhancing how fans experience the game, from defining moments on the field to legendary experiences at marquee events like MLB All–Star Week."

MGM Resorts already has, and will continue to maintain, partnerships with a variety of MLB teams, including the Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees, among others.

Similarly, BetMGM Casino, considered one of the best mobile casinos in the regulated market, has long produced MLB-centric titles.

Among the hundreds of casino games online in the operator's library are MLB Blackjack and MLB Rising Rewards, for example. 

BetMGM Casino also features team-branded real money online slots like Philadelphia Phillies LuckyTap and Detroit Tigers Slingo, among others.

It would appear that more content could be expected, especially as Lance Evans – senior vice president of sports and sponsorships at MGM Resorts International – emphasized the MLB is part of the company's "long-term vision."
