Helluva game in the afternoon window between two Super Bowl contenders who will throw it all on the field to avoid starting 1-3. The fact that the Ravens and Chiefs are even in this position is wild, but Baltimore’s underdelivering defense and Kansas City’s injured, inconsistent offense have these franchises at an early inflection point. The question is whether Xavier Worthy is enough weaponry for the Chiefs to keep up with the Ravens offense considering Kansas City’s run game and Travis Kelce have been missing in action this season. While KC should provide a tougher defensive test than most the Ravens have faced this season, Baltimore must be seething considering its loss to Detroit, and the defense should step up a bit in this matchup.

After a monster first two weeks, Zay Flowers was targeted just three times against Detroit, catching two passes for 13 yards. I like Flowers to bounce back strong at K.C. A review of the film shows Flowers got wide open against the Lions but Lamar Jackson was unable or decided not to throw it to him. Look for Flowers to reassert his dominance in this receiving corps Sunday.
It is difficult to imagine either team falling to 1-3, which one will (barring a draw). It’s more difficult to see the Ravens with such a record. Its offense is all-powerful — vastly better than K.C.’s. On the flip side, Baltimore’s defense ranks as the worst in the league, in part owing to injuries. Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy is possibly back in action, but the Ravens counter with TE Isaiah Lively makes his season debut. K.C. must crank it up big-time to keep pace with Baltimore’s points fest with WR Rashee Rice still suspended. Ravens QB Lamar Jackson thrivies on the road, flashing an ATS record of 31-15-2. Those numbers slightly override Patrick Mahomes’ 5-1 SU record against Baltimore.
The Kansas City Chiefs are getting healthier with the return of Xavier Worthy, but the lack of a ground game is still there. Baltimore ran into a Detroit team playing peak football on Monday night, look for the Ravens to use that as fuel to clean up issues on both sides of the football. It’s also a value angle seeing the Chiefs for the second time this season as a home underdog. Grab the Ravens.

Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton wears the green dot and doesn't come off the field. He got $30 million guaranteed from K.C. in the offseason. While he hasn't graded out particularly well as a run stopper thus far, he has a tremendous opportunity in this matchup. Bolton has racked up 28 total tackles in three games and I love him to record at least eight against Baltimore.
A few weeks ago we played the Eagles in KC as the better team and while I think plenty of folks may consider doing the same with Baltimore ... I'm not sure they are better right now. Loser here goes to 1-3 and we get Patrick Mahomes as a desperate underdog and getting Xavier Worthy back as a massive addition. The Ravens are missing some key defensive pieces and I think KC just finds a way in this spot, largely thanks to their underrated defense. Love getting the full three obviously.
