Having a versatile bullpen allows Pat Murphy luxuries, such as likely using another opener tonight as he did and on Saturday vs. the Cubs. The Brewers also certainly won't fear the Dodgers after sweeping the six-game season series, all games taking place in July. Blake Snell admittedly superb on the mound for LA since being activated at the start of August, with a 1.93 ERA to show for it since, but he didn't face the Brewers, and the sometimes-shaky Dodgers bullpen will be called upon at some point tonight. Blake Snell has made just one career pitching appearance in Milwaukee, specifically at Miller Park (now known as American Family Field). That game occurred on May 24, 2021, while he was with the Padres. In that outing, Snell pitched 3.2 innings and allowed five earned runs, which included two home runs. That's not a predictive stat, but it's been over four years since he's pitched there. Terrific price at +1.5 on the Brewers considering they are, you know, at home and were 6-0 in the regular-season series vs. LA. Blake Snell is terrific on the mound for the Dodgers but had some hiccups on the road during the regular season. And the Brewers already have seen several lefty starters this postseason, so that can only help a little. I much prefer Milwaukee's bullpen as well led by The Miz, and we probably see him tonight at some point. The fans should be nuts in the franchise's first NLCS game in seven years.
