ANALYSIS: Short line for Florida State?...
ANALYSIS: Tonight, there is a strong pitching matchup at Wrigley Field with Mitch Keller facing off against Justin Steele in a friendly pitching environment. Keller possesses a great fastball, consistently hitting 95+ MPH, along with a .264 xwOBA and very low average exit velocity. Steele, on the other hand, is poised to finish as a top 3 Cy Young candidate in the National League. His best pitch is his slider, which has an impressively low .236 xwOBA this season. This game holds immense importance for the Cubs' chances at reaching the postseason, and success hinges on run prevention. I'll place a small bet on the Under.
ANALYSIS: The 49ers are the best team in the NFL right now, in my power ratings, and it's largely because of the defensive side of the ball. I expect the 49ers to run the ball more against this Giants defense and operate a more conservative game plan on the short week. Brandon Aiyuk is questionable after being limited in practice on Tuesday. The Giants offense is down Saquon Barkley and will struggle to score against the top defense on a short week on a road back-to-back. 45 gets us through a few pretty key numbers in this matchup. I make the total 41.5
ANALYSIS: Two questionable offenses and solid defenses typically make you look under in a primetime division game, but this one has dropped too low and gone through some very key numbers. I had 42.5 as the appropriate opening number, where I still leaned over. Now we're through the two most significant numbers in the NFL (41 and 40). The Browns will have success on the ground, and there will be turnovers creating short fields. I'm on the over.
ANALYSIS: I like the Under 49.5 on the short week when the Eagles will likely be without Kenneth Gainwell, who is a valuable asset in the ground game and catching passes out of the backfield. The Eagles' defense is legit, and I expect it to show up at home after a somewhat disappointing start to the season in New England. Kirk Cousins hasn't exactly been elite in primetime games, and I expect that trend to continue against a quality opponent in a tough road environment. The Eagles should dominate possession here and grind out a win. My pick is the Under.
