The first seven games on the season between the San Francisco Giants and Colorado Rockies featured double digit runs scored. That ended in yesterday’s 4 to 3 win for the Rockies. Ezekiel Tovar had a key double in the fifth inning marking just his third game with a hit this month. One of the other two games was a three hit game against the Giants on July 3rd. Three of his eight home runs on the season have come against San Francisco. Play Tovar’s combination line/total bases over.

The Washington Nationals will see Ryan Weathers on the mound today for the New York Yankees. Weathers pitched in the NL East the prior few seasons with the Marlins, so they are familiar with him. Crews has scored a run in four out of his last five starts, and during that stretch hit his sixth home run of the season. Look for Crews to clear his combination line, and also possibly homer.

Seattle is coming off being swept by the Miami Marlins, as they head into their final series before the All Star break against the Rays. At .500 the Mariners have done a great job at avoiding an extended losing streak. Currently at three losses in a row, they have not had a losing streak beyond that since April 17th. Veteran pitcher Nick Martinez has also struggled the last two seasons against Seattle where he has lasted just four innings and 4 2/3. Back Seattle here.

Catcher Victor Caratini has shown off the power recently at the plate. He finished the month of July with a home run in four out of the final eleven games for the Twins. He comes into today with at least one hit in six out of his last seven games. Slade Cecconi after having a strong month of June with a 1.88 ERA, was hit hard his first start of July against a divisional team in the White Sox. Avoid the juice on Caratini and take him for a split play on a run/RBI.

Gerrit Cole’s first start this season was against the Tampa Bay Rays on May 22nd. In the outing he gave up just two hits with one of those being to Cedric Mullins. Mullins added on a hit against the Yankees bullpen, and lifetime is hitting .333 against Cole in a big sample size with eleven hits. Take Mullins over on his combination line.
Washington’s problematic bullpen nearly blew a big lead in yesterday’s win against the Houston Astros. They were able to hold on and win 12 to 11. Today their bullpen will be relied on even more, as Andrew Alvarez has a maximum innings range of four to five total. Take the Astros who have won three straight road starts with Tatsuya Imai on the mound.

Kyle Schwarber was ejected in yesterday’s blowout loss to the Royals. Expect him to be fired up off of that, and the fact that he has gone seven games without hitting a home run on the season. That is his longest stretch of the year without one. Take Schwarber to likely end that streak today at Great American Ballpark.

Max Meyer took his first loss of the season his last start against Colorado. Miami also is returning from a three series West Coast road trip of ten games, their longest of the season. Look for Dominic Canzone to show off his bat in this one. He has homered in six out of the last seven series for the Mariners. He at least clears his combination line tonight, with a sprinkle as well on a home run.

Mike Burrows of the Houston Astros returns to pitch at Nationals Park today. Last season while with the Pittsburgh Pirates the start did not go well. Burrows gave up three early runs as he did not make it past four innings. CJ Abrams after homering in three straight games in a June series against Tampa Bay, has went just 6 for his last 40 at the plate. Look for Abrams to snap his cold stretch and would not be surprised if it is via a home run. Would attack him in all markets.

The New York Mets got a much needed win Sunday defeating the Atlanta Braves, where the bats stepped up with ten runs. Today the Mets will see Reynaldo Lopez, where Francisco Lindor has the most at bats by far of any other Met with 23 total. Look for Lindor to use that success to continue his July streak with a hit in each game so far. Play Lindor’s combination line over.

After a rocky first couple of months, Brandon Sprout had a solid month of June with a 3.46 ERA. His initial start against Arizona did not go well on April 29th, when he gave up a couple of home runs and lasted just 4 1/3. Lourdes Gurriel was one of four Diamondbacks that had multiple hits that game. Take Gurriel over on his combination prop line today.

The Minnesota Twins put on their own show yesterday with eleven runs, and several players hit a home run. Ryan Weathers is a pitcher that has struggled in that department as he has given up eight home runs over his last six starts. His last outing he did not make it out of the second inning against the Detroit Tigers. Take Royce Lewis to have success today as he has a hit in twelve out of his last fourteen games.
