Penn Entertainment partnership with Birches Health creates new responsible gaming resources
The partnership reflects Penn Entertainment's commitment to providing strong responsible gambling resources, now including RG-focused content created by behavioral health services provider Birches Health.
Penn Entertainment, owner of legal online casinos theScore Bet and Hollywood Casino, announced a new partnership with Birches Health, an online behavioral health services provider that would bolster the gambling company's responsible gambling resources. Thanks to the agreement, theScore Bet and Hollywood Casino will not only have access to effective gambling tools already in place but also RG-focused content created by Birches Health.
Penn Entertainment: Responsible gaming 'always our highest priority'
In a press release announcing the partnership, Penn Interactive vice president of compliance Adam Kates emphasized that responsible gambling "is always our highest priority," which is why teaming up with Birches Health makes all the sense in the world.
In partnering with the behavioral health services group, Penn Entertainment expands its collection of responsible gaming resources for its customer base at theScore Bet and Hollywood Casino.
"Birches is a leader in the behavioral addiction treatment space," Kates said in a statement, "and their curated content helps destigmatize gambling addiction and provides players information on identifying and treating problem gaming."
Birches Health provides specialized behavioral addiction treatments for individuals, including online counseling programs focused on sports betting and casino games online. The group also offers resources to support responsible play. Elliott Rapaport, CEO and founder of Birches Health, noted that the company will provide specialized content, educational initiatives and "streamlined access" to Birches Health' support services.
Those services include problem gambling assessments, responsible gaming articles and information on addiction counseling, among other offerings. All of this can be found within the responsible gaming tools section of theScore Bet and Hollywood Casino.
Penn the latest gaming company to partner with behavioral health services company
Penn Entertainment is not the first gambling company to bring a behavioral health services group into its corner to bolster responsible gambling resources.
In fact, many of the top online casino operators have teamed up with third-party providers to further pad their offerings.
For example, DraftKings Casino recently partnered with Mindway AI, an industry leader in neuroscience-based responsible gaming solutions that created Gamalyze. This tool conducts evaluations of players' real-time decision-making and provides insights into how those players can improve their responsible gambling experience.
Similarly, Kindbridge Behavioral Health has also partnered with DraftKings as well as BetMGM and MGM Resorts International to help with responsible gambling initiatives.
