Michigan iGaming has record month with $322.1 million in March 2026 revenue

Michigan online casinos had their best month ever in March 2026, hauling in $322.1 million. This beats the previous record month of $315.8 million set in December 2025. I'll break the numbers down further on what was a strong month overall for the state's gaming market.
MI iGaming experiences a huge surge
The record-breaking month for Michigan online casinos led to a large spike in year-over-year (YoY) revenue. The $322.1 million earned last month represents 23.65% growth from the $260.5 million made in March 2025.
The MGCB March 2026 gaming revenue report didn't break these figures down into online table games and slots categories. However, we can reasonably assume that online slots were the big driver of this record month.
Michigan has some of the best progressive jackpot slots. For example, BetMGM Casino's Majestic Buffalo and Bison Fury Gold Link prizes are worth over $617k and $392k, respectively, at the time of writing. Big jackpots like these are definitely big draws to the MI online gaming market.

MI sports betting has the biggest YoY increase
Michigan online sports betting also had a strong month, earning $50 million in March 2026. This represents 28.6% YoY growth from the $33 million MI online sportsbooks made in March 2025.
The 28.6% boost was fueled by March Madness betting, which has steadily grown over the past three years. MI bookmakers really benefited from this trend last month.
Almost half a billion overall for Michigan gaming in March
Detroit's three commercial casinos added another $112.3 million to Michigan's March 2026 gaming revenue. MGM Grand led the way with $51.9 million (-3.5% YoY), followed by MotorCity with $34.9 million (-2.7%) and Hollywood Casino at Greektown with $24.7 million (-8.9%).
The state's 24 tribal casinos do not report their retail revenue to the MGCB. That said, the land-based casino numbers are actually much higher than $112.3 million.
When combined, Michigan online casinos, online betting, and retail gambling outlets generated $483.4 million, according to reported figures. The main reason for this large amount is iGaming, which accounted for 66.67% of the $483.4m total.
Again, I suspect that big online progressive jackpots and online slots in general are fueling these numbers. As long as jackpot prizes keep increasing like this, I don't see Michigan iGaming numbers slowing down any time soon.
