It's PJ Tucker against Colt McCoy, so how can I not go Under? Plus, DeAndre Hopkins is out again for Arizona. Cam Newton is surprisingly active for Carolina but is not expected to be used but for a few plays at most. Not sure Cam Newton at this point changes my thinking regardless.
It’s looking more and more like P.J. Walker versus Colt McCoy in a battle of backup QBs. Carolina's Walker is in a hopeless situation, taking over an offense that has recorded a single TD and 28 points over the past three weeks. The Cardinals' defense also is masterful at takeaways. Arizona's McCoy appears likely to fill in for Kyler Murray (ankle) for the second straight game. The immobile veteran confronts a creditable pass rush that has recorded at least five sacks in three games.
It's unclear at this point if Kyler Murray will play -- as of Wednesday he's still dealing with a bad ankle and may not be 100% if he does go on Sunday. Either way, I think the Panthers will see a boost in morale with a QB change and, along with a solid 'D' and Christian McCaffrey easing further back in, they'll keep this one within double digits. P.J. Walker's NFL stats aren't impressive, but he did win his only start and has the Andrew Luck seal of approval. The Cards will likely be cautious with Murray after last year ... and isn't it about time for the annual Kliff Kingsbury second-half swoon? Take the points.
