The Spurs have won and covered the last four meetings with the Nets. Currently, they have won 10 straight games, but they played last night at Toronto and didn't cover -6. The Spurs look like the best team in the West. They're playing together as a team with everyone clicking. The balls are bouncing their way. And the team they're playing, the Nets, is the complete opposite of the Spurs, sitting 15-42 on the season and losing large in their last five games. The Nets blew a big lead on Sunday at Atlanta, and while they scored 17 points in the fourth quarter, it seemed like they didn't score for the final 6 minutes of the game. A Nets brain freeze moment. Spurs cover.
DraftKings. It’s always a bit of a balancing act to catch rookies during the ebbs and flows of their first pro season. Right now, Dylan Harper is on one of his highs, having cleared this points plus assists line in eight of his last eleven games. He’s been between 18-29 minutes over that span, and I like him to be towards the high end of that range tonight. The Spurs come in to Brooklyn on a back-to-back, as double digit favorites - I like them to lean on Harper. And the matchup suits Harper’s playstyle - he’s cleared this line in 10/14 games this season against teams in the bottom 12 of transition defense (the Nets are 26th), when he plays at least 18 minutes.
