Man, I hope Giannis is healthy for the playoffs. Not a Bucks fan but definitely a fan of his and want the Celtics to have a little competition in the East. Giannis is done for the regular season and no Khris Middleton tonight, either. Wonder if that injury leaves a bit of a hangover here. The Magic can still catch the Bucks for the East's No. 2 seed.
Orlando lost by 12-points last night to the Rockets. Milwaukee will be without Giannis Antetokounmpo, who injured his calf last night. The Bucks are 30-11 at home, however, since Doc Rivers took over, they’re 18-18 and not the same team since the season began. They’ve struggled of late with losses to Memphis, Toronto, and Washington. All of the motivation is there for the Magic to remain in the top four spots to begin the playoffs as Milwaukee will already have home court advantage, win or loss.
At this time yesterday we were thinking this might be a matchup with the second seed in the East on the line as Giannis would be counted upon to lead the Bucks out of a late-season skid. Results last night, however, removed much of the showdown aspect of this clash, and there is also the matter of Giannis, who left the win over the Celtics with a calf strain (a worse injury than it sounds) and very unlikely to feature tonight. That's a hard piece to replace in the Bucks lineup, and there are other "under" indicators, such as both previous Orlando-Milwaukee matchups landing that way, and the Magic "under" 6-3 their last nine. Play Magic-Bucks "Under"
This is a big scoring line for Wendell Carter Jr who is averaging 11.3 PPG on the season. Carter has struggled from a consistency standpoint and this is the second game of a B2B. Brook Lopez has effectively defended Carter dating back to when Carter was a member of the Bulls, Carter has failed to eclipse this line in six of his last seven H2H matchups against Lopez. Orlando possesses a deep bench and Center rotation and I expect them to lean on that in this matchup as well.
