This actually has little to do with Bam and a lot more to do with Daniel Gafford and the Mavs defense. This Mavs defense has played really well post All-Star break and a lot of that has to do with the presence of Daniel Gafford, who is easily playing the best basketball of his career (on both ends of the court). You have to go all the way back to March 5th against the Pacers when Dallas allowed the opposing Center to score over 16 points. That list includes Jokic, Wemby, Chet, and Bam. Speaking of Bam, the big man is struggling offensively and it doesnt help that Miami is the healthiest they have been all season long with plenty of mouths to feed.

Guards pick up assists in Miami. Other guards averaging around 4.5-5 assists like Kyrie Irving, are averaging 6 in Miami (6-2 to the over). The Dallas Mavericks have won nine of their last ten games, and do not appear to be resting any key players in a back to back spot. Although Miami is playing better basketball lately, it’s going to be a tall order to keep up with the Mavericks. Dallas over their last two games alone have scored 130 and 147 points. Tail the Mavs.

This is a tricky night with almost every team in the league playing Tues night and varying degrees of things at stake. DAL might rest some people here depending how much they want the 4 seed ...
