There might actually be some drama in this low-speed collision tonight at Little Caesars, as we're hardly sure either of these stragglers can pull clear of the other. Rather than trust one to extend the margin, however, can usually bank on inability of both to score enough points. Especially Charlotte, now on a 10-2 "under" run which partly reflects a lack of offensive punch. No surprise there, with the top two Hornets scorers this season either out with injury (LaMelo Ball) or since traded away (Terry Rozier). Play Hornets-Pistons "Under"
Detroit has just ten wins on the season but a bright spot has been the Charlotte Hornets. They have won both prior matchups on the season by seven and eleven points. The Hornets look like a team that peaked with their February stretch when they won five of six games. Since they are 1-7, and are averaging just 98 points. Tail the Pistons

Cade Cunningham continues to showcase his versatile skillset. Over his last 12 games, he has averaged 23.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 8.0 assists. During that span, he hauled in at least five rebounds in a game eight times. The Hornets have allowed the fifth-most rebounds per game in the league, so I’ll take this over.
The Hornets are running out of healthy players. LaMelo Ball, Cody Martin and Seth Curry have already been ruled out with injuries. Tre Mann (groin) is also listed as doubtful after missing the last two games. The Pistons are in much better shape on the health front and will be at home, so I’ll pay the juice and take them to earn the victory.

This is an abnormally high RA line for Brandon Miller who averages approximately 6.5 rebounds + assists on the season. The Hornets without LaMelo Ball play at the slowest pace in the league and this game has the lowest projected total on tonight's slate. As a team the Hornets average the fewest rebounds and third fewest assists. Miller is having a tremendous rookie season and has tantalizing upside, but still doesn't offer much as far as his peripheral stats are concerned.
Definitely haven't backed the Pistons on the moneyline much this season (they aren't favored very often) but they are healthy (Quentin Grimes is set to return from a four-game absence) and the Hornets are not -- especially in the backcourt down Tre Mann, LaMelo Ball and others. If Detroit can't win a game like this at home, Monty Williams should be fired in the tunnel on the way back to the locker room.

Brandon Miller went 5 of 10 from deep the last time he faced the Pistons, and I like him to make at least three 3-pointers Monday in Detroit. The volume should certainly be there, as he's taken seven-plus 3-point attempts in six straight games. Over the past three games, Detroit is allowing opponents to shoot 40.9 percent from beyond the arc -- seventh-worst in the NBA.
