Lauri Markannen is an underrated player in the NBA despite making his first All-Star appearance last year. The 7 foot Finnish sharp shooter has exceptional shooting splits nearing 50/40/90. It should come as little surprise when Markkanen was banged up this season, Utah really struggled but he has been healthy all month and as a result Utah has won 11 of of their previous 17 games. This is a solid matchup against a Sixers team missing Joel Embiid. Markkanen faced the Embiid-less 76ers a few weeks ago and torched them for 33 points and 13 rebounds on 12-19 fro the field. I expect another big game from "The Finnisher".
LM is a pure scorer. Underrated. And very very nasty at home. The Sixers are not a great perimeters defending team and they will have to mix and match with so many guys out (including the big Fella Embid). Go over
The Jazz return home after being on a six-game road trip that saw Lauri Markkanen average a modest 20.3 points. While he has only averaged 22.9 points per game on the road this season, he is averaging 24.3 points at home. With regards to this prop, he has scored at least 26 points in five of his last six games at home. The last time he took on the 76ers, he scored 33 points in a matchup that was played in Philadelphia. Expect him to provide another productive scoring performance.
No Joel Embiid, maybe no Tyrese Maxey again and the Sixers just look broken right now. Also the end of a five-game trip so truly a horrific spot for them. Utah has lost four of six but those were all away. The Jazz won easily in Philly, 120-109, on Jan. 6 also when Embiid was out.
