Josh Hart played a whopping 40 minutes in game 4 while piling up 28 combined PRA. Hart is likely to once again play huge minutes as Quentin Grimes has been ruled out and Hart will be starting in his place. This number is simply too low for Hart considering how often he'll be on the court and his ability to contribute in a variety of ways. Hart is averaging 21.6 PRA in this series and I expect him to stuff the stat sheet tonight while barely coming off the court.
We are supposed to post 30 minutes before any game but I had to wait a few minutes on this one for the total to drop in our system to match the updated Caesars number of 201 and it just did. That's so low. This series has been crazy low scoring with under 200 points in each game, but that means to me they are simply due for somewhat of an offensive uptick. The Knicks are without one of their top perimeter defenders in Quentin Grimes for a second straight game. Even if one team has a moderately good offensive game with, say, 110 points, we should easily cash.
No matter how poorly a series goes, teams that are down usually show a bit of a pulse on their home floor. Cleveland has to revert to the old adage of "one game at a time." Game 5 should be the team's best showcase performance of the season. The Cavaliers' anger as a result of their poor play that got them to this point should boil over. Look for Cleveland to extend the series.
The Knicks have owned the Cavaliers all season winning and covering six of their last seven meetings, including a 3-1 edge in the Playoffs. The Cavs struggled on the road most of the season, but at home, they have an edge. In an elimination game, I do expect the Cavs to get the 50/50 calls their way. I also expect Donovan Mitchell to take his game up a notch and for the frontline to step up after being outrebounded 47-33 in Game 4. I’m on the Cavs to cover here.
This pick is a pure hunch play because nothing in the four game of this series to date has shown these teams will both reach 100 in a game. During the regular season, the Knicks averaged 116 points per game and Cleveland was slightly behind them at 112.3 PPG. This series, the totals have been a combined 198-197-178-195. Three of the teams' regular season matchups totaled 229-208-246. At the minimum, I see both teams reaching in the low-100s tonight and wouldn't be surprised if the game flew over by a significant amount (similar to two of the three games last night).

The Knicks benched Julius Randle for the entire fourth quarter of Game 4, with coach Tom Thibodeau saying he thought Randle's ankle was hampering him following the quick turnaround from Game 3. Randle played a series-low 27 minutes. However, Randle practiced fully Tuesday. The expectation is that Randle will play his usual minutes and finish Game 5. In Games 1 and 2 in Cleveland, Randle committed 11 total turnovers. He continues to struggle with Evan Mobley's defense. Look for at least three turnovers Wednesday night.
