Both KAT and Anthony Edwards (O/U 27.5 points) must have huge games for the Wolves to have a shot, and Towns might play north of 40 minutes with Rudy Gobert, Naz Reid and Jaden McDaniels all out. Towns comes off a 30-point game vs. New Orleans on Sunday. I'm not sure if I'll play the side yet or not.

With the Timberwolves limited, look for Anthony Edwards' shot attempt volume to be high Tuesday. Edwards has the ability to get in a groove with his scoring and playmaking to set himself up to clip this number in the second half. Take the Over for his points and assists.

Our SportslineAI Model is predicting LeBron James scores at a rate of .89 points per minute in this game. This prop will be better if the Timberwolves can stay within reach of the Lakers. LeBron will play 31 minutes or more tonight if that happens meaning he should have around 31.25 points.

The Lakers might have caught a break in this game. The Timberwolves will be without Rudy Gobert (suspension) and Jaden McDaniels (hand), who are two of their best defensive players. McDaniels would have likely spent a lot of time guarding James, and Gobert being out should make things much easier in the paint for the Lakers. James scored at least 33 points in three of his final four games to close out the regular season, and I expect him to surpass 30 points again as he looks to get the Lakers the seventh seed in the Western Conference playoffs.

I am excited that we have reached the point in the NBA season when games are meaningful again. Karl-Anthony Towns has looked good since returning from an injury that cost him over 50% of the regular season. He has scored at least 20 points in six of eight games since returning to the court and is coming off a 30 point performance where he logged 36 minutes. The Wolves will be without two starters in Rudy Gobert and Jaden McDaniels, in addition to arguably their third best scorer Naz Reid. Minnesota will need all the scoring help they can get from KAT who I expect will be very aggressive in this game.
Minnesota will be without Jaden McDaniels and Rudy Gobert. But even with those guys the Timberwolves would have a hard time beating L.A. The Lakers have turned into an extremely competitive team, winning nine of their last 11 games. They last played the Timberwolves in Minnesota on March 31 and won, 123-111. I see something similar here. Lakers to cover.
