Stakes are high this week for the D-backs, just a game behind the Reds and Mets for the last NL wild card and only six games to play. Yet recent form suggests Arizona might be up for some late-September magic after a sustained drive the past month, and winning the weekend series vs. the Phils. Brandon Pfaadt also enters tonight off of a complete game, one-hitter in a gem of an effort last Wednesday vs. the Giants. Across his last three home starts, his ERA is 1.23. Meanwhile, Dave Roberts isn't likely to let Shohei Ohtani on the mound for too long tonight, meaning more of the shaky playoff-bound Dodger bullpen, though LA yet to sew up the NL West.
