ANALYSIS: Indiana is returning home from a four-game West Coast swing that was marked by two games where its defense dominated and two games where the defense struggled mightily. With a number of players still missing for Dallas, we expected the Pacers to limit Dallas’ offensive attack. Dallas struggled on Monday, falling to the Raptors, 116-93. The Mavericks are 0-8 OU (-13.00 ppg) off a 10-plus-point road loss.
ANALYSIS: New York picked up a huge win over Boston yesterday but now is in the very unusual spot of playing back-to-back early afternoon games. With no rest and being thrown off a normal playing schedule, the Knicks are likely to struggle to adjust here. New York also really benefitted from Boston's poor shooting (7-for-46 from 3-point range) in the 105-75 victory. The Knicks are 0-7 ATS (-5.71 ppg) following a road game in which their opponent shot worse than 25 percent from beyond the arc with at least 20 attempts.
ANALYSIS: Philadelphia will be without Joel Embiid, and in recent games without Embiid, the 76ers have struggled on defense. The Over is 6-1-1 OU in their last eight games playing without Embiid. They have allowed 118.9 points per game in those contests on 53.6 percent opponent shooting. Philadelphia pushed the ball against a limited Heat squad Thursday, with 26 fast break points after averaging just 9.7 over its previous three games. The Over is 397-332-12 in games featuring teams that had at least 20 fast break points in the last game after averaging less than 10 fast break points the previous three games.
ANALYSIS: Running the game through their young wings due to all the COVID absences Tuesday, Miami took Philadelphia to the brink. While this eight-man Miami roster is not a recipe for long-term success, the Heat have the playmaking and shooting to keep this matchup close again. Miami is playing its third straight road game and second straight in Philadelphia. The Heat are 6-0-1 ATS on the road coming off a road game.
