Boston 5 @ St. Louis 1 | 06/10 | 12:00 AM UTC

St. Louis -119

LOSS

ANALYSIS: The season should end tonight as the Blues will close it out at home. This will be a rough affair, fueled by adrenaline and should the Blues prevail they can give the keys to the city to goalie Jordan Bininngton, without whom the Blues collectively would have started their summer vacay six weeks ago. As it stands, summer should officially start tomorrow in Missouri.

Boston 2 @ St. Louis 4 | 06/04 | 12:00 AM UTC

OVER 5.5

WIN

ANALYSIS: Well that was a surprise. I predicted goals would be free-flowing, but what I couldn't predict was that they would be all coming from Boston and its vaunted power play. If St. Louis can stay out of the penalty box, the Blues have a chance. If Jordan Binnington can rebound after he uncharacteristically let in several very soft goals then the Blues have a chance. If the Blues can physically dominate the Bruins like they did in game 2 then they have a chance. Can they? We will see. Either way the score will go over 5.5 as the tempo will be fast and furious. Take the Over.

Boston 7 @ St. Louis 2 | 06/02 | 12:00 AM UTC

OVER 5

WIN

ANALYSIS: As bad as the Blues played in Game 1, they dominated the Bruins in Game 2 in perhaps the most physical contest of the entire playoffs. If St. Louis repeats that effort, Boston is in for a long night. The Bruins have to answer tonight if they can; their defense must hold up to the expected Blues bombardment. I believe goals will come in this pivotal match, so take the Over.

St. Louis 3 @ Boston 2 | 05/30 | 12:00 AM UTC

Boston -171

LOSS

ANALYSIS: When a team is only able to manage 20 shots on goal in the entire game, one has to wonder what they'll do next to right the ship? St. Louis managed just three shots in the 2nd period after taking an early lead on Boston. The Blues then went into a coma in all aspects of the game. I've read they'll fix this mess but it seems unlikely that the Bruins will take their foot off the accelerator, especially at home. Stakes are high, up 2-0 after tonight will spell doom for the Blues and Boston knows it. Expect the Bruins to play a punishing game, win or lose, the Blues will know they were in a meat grinder. Boston will prevail, the only question will be how much will be left of the Blues spirit after tonight. My guess is that St. Louis will be singing the Blues all the way home. Take Boston to win.

St. Louis 2 @ Boston 4 | 05/28 | 12:00 AM UTC

Boston -149

WIN

ANALYSIS: Tonight, the quest for the Stanley Cup begins in Boston, but we need to get one thing straight right off the bat: this is not a series of goaltenders; this is a series of defense. This playoff season, Boston goalie Tuukka Rask couldn’t have had anything go easier for him because of the stellar play of the Bruins defense. St. Louis goalie Jordan Binnington is the reason the Blues are here, but tonight he gets thrown to the wolves in Beantown. If Boston’s defense continues to play like it has been playing, someone might have to wake up Rask after the game to tell him it’s over. Boston wins tonight, and I look for the Bruins to take this series in five.
