A Stratosphere Casino Sportsbook oddsmaker in Las Vegas, Hugh has worked in sportsbook management for 20-plus years. In 2001, for UFC 33, he became the first oddsmaker to post odds on MMA fights in Nevada. While some books began to take action on main events shortly thereafter, Hugh posted odds on every individual fight. He learned quickly that setting odds for MMA is totally different than setting odds for boxing. Hugh has always said it's much easier to get upsets in MMA because there are so many ways to win and lose fights. With all the fight cards now being offered and with so many fighters changing organizations, there are lots of bad numbers out there and Hugh can spot them immediately.
