Understanding Public and Money
Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

Missouri QB Austin Simmons has played some really good ball so far this season and will give the Tigers a fighting chance in this conference tilt. Mississippi State's QB Kamario Taylor's play has put him into the Heisman Trophy conversation at this early juncture of the season. What has me liking the Bulldogs cover in this game is how they've been able to manage expectations in concert with how good they are in the trenches.
Two undefeated SEC teams meet in Starkville, Mississippi, with two exciting QBs: Missouri’s Austin Simmons and Mississippi State’s Kamario Taylor.
Simmons has a 218.32 passer rating through three games, second in the SEC, and threw for 292 yards and three TDs in a road win at rival Kansas. He struggled last week against Troy, however, throwing for only 91 yards.
Now Simmons faces a Mississippi State defense that ranks in the bottom 10 nationally in both pressures and sacks.
In contrast, Missouri ranks second in the country in pass protection, according to Pro Football Focus. The Bulldogs’ defense is also 73rd in EPA per pass and allowed South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers to throw for 282 yards and 2 TDs last week.
I'm fully bought in on Kamario Taylor. I had high expectations for him coming into the season but he's exceeded them, and looks like a player with far more experience than he actually has. I think he outduels Austin Simmons -- another impressive QB -- at home.
