Developer Play'n Go granted license for Alberta online casino market
One of the world's biggest game developers has received approval from Alberta online casino regulators to operate in the soon-to-launch industry.

With the Alberta online casino launch just a few weeks away, one of the regulated industry's top game developers has been granted a license to provide iGaming content in the province. Play'n Go announced the landmark deal, which it described as "a significant milestone in the company's continued expansion across regulated North American markets."
Alberta online casinos ready to add Play'n Go games
When the Alberta online casino market launches, users will now assuredly find many popular titles from Play'n Go. That includes hit casino games online like Reactoonz, Lawn n' Disorder and Banana Rush.
In a press release celebrating its licensure in the province, Play'n Go called Alberta "an important new regulated opportunity in Canada" for the company – one that complements its already-established presence in Ontario. Per Play'n Go, entering Alberta also reinforces the brand's long-standing commitment to operating exclusively in regulated jurisdictions.
Magnuss Olsson, chief commercial officer at Play'n Go, said that Alberta represents "another important step" in the company's growth in North America.Â
"Regulated markets are the foundation of our business," Olsson said in a statement, "and Alberta represents an exciting opportunity to expand our footprint in a jurisdiction that shares our commitment to high standards, player protection and long‑term sustainability." Â
July 13 launch date nears for Alberta online casinos
Play'n Go emphasized that receiving a license in Alberta falls in line with its broader strategy of growing through regulated market expansion.Â
Along with Ontario, Play'n Go holds licenses in six U.S. states – including New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania – while partnering with some of the best mobile casinos licensed to operate.
According to the announcement, Play'n Go has already aligned its technology and game portfolio to abide by Alberta regulatory standards and requirements. The company already has an "initial batch of game titles" that are undergoing certification to ensure launch readiness.
Officials have long targeted an Alberta online casinos launch date of July 13.Â
Some of the top online casino operators are listed as registrants by Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis to go live on or after that date, including BetMGM Casino, Caesars Palace Online Casino, DraftKings Casino and FanDuel Casino.
