For the second time in just a few months, the Michigan online casino industry could have a new operator to consider. Following PokerStars' integration under the FanDuel brand, a vacancy has been created, one that bet365 Casino appears poised to fill in the near future.

Bet365 Casino poised to enter Michigan online casino market

Since launching in 2021, the Michigan online casino industry has quickly grown into one of the largest legal iGaming markets in the US. In fact, in 2025, licensed operators in the state generated nearly $4 billion.

The landscape, though, caps the number of available licenses at 15, which prevents the state from adding more brands unless an operator closes up shop. Such is the case when it comes to bet365 Casino, which appears to be set to take over the spot once owned by PokerStars.

The biggest indication can be found on the operator's website, where, near the bottom of the screen, is small print noting that users must be at least 21 years old and "physically located in Michigan" in order to play casino games online.

If that weren't enough, there is also a reference to Hillside (Michigan) LLC being a licensed and regulated Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) entity. Hillside is run by the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, a tribe that was partnered with PokerStars before the platform integrated with FanDuel.

Yet another clue about bet365 Casino's potential Michigan entry is on the MGCB's list of provisional supplier licenses, which lists Hillside as well as bet365  under the header "Doing Business As."

Second new Michigan online casino joins market

Bet365 Casino currently operates in New Jersey and Pennsylvania but has long eyed expansion into other markets.

With the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians partnership, bet365 has an avenue to offer not only legal sports betting but also become one of the newest online casinos in Michigan.

There has yet to be an official announcement from bet365, nor has there been a launch date set.

It would be the second new real money online casino to go live in Michigan in recent months. In December Hard Rock Bet Casino debuted thanks to a partnership with Island Resort & Casino. Hard Rock's entry came courtesy of the departure of Sports Illustrated Sportsbook and Casino.
