Big price here, but there might be another way to look. The Avs are a powerhouse, but the Sharks have won seven of their last ten, and after going winless in their first six, are back to the middle of the Pacific Division, within striking distance of the leaders. We'd rather not buck the mighty Avs, but the under is a different story. San Jose has landed that way in eight of its last nine games with some often-brilliant work in goal from Yaroslav Askarov, who has won seven of eight starts this month while compiling a 1.47 GAA and .959 saves. With Colorado's MacKenzie Blackwood facing his old team, it could be a goalie battle tonight in Denver. Play Sharks-Avs Under
Colorado is just insanely good, but we have to do this as San Jose is among the best ATS teams in the league at a ridiculous 17-6. And we can have a two-goal loss and still cash, which is always nice. Sharks goalie Yaroslav Askarov is 7-1-0 with a 1.47 GAA this month. San Jose beat the visiting Avalanche 3-2 in OT on Nov. 1. The Avs have lost just once in regulation all year, which is stupid. And I wouldn't play +1.5 here even as good as San Jose has been to us.
