Puka Nacua has been targeted 19 times in the past two games, and on Sunday he faces a depleted Carolina secondary. While Nacua has only four receiving touchdowns this season, he also has a rushing score. He has scored in half of LA's games and I believe this prop should be even money or even slightly minus money given the matchup.
I don’t believe in double-digit spreads, but I do believe in Joe Hendry, and I do believe in these Rams against a Panthers team that cannot decide what it wants to be week to week. In a one-month span, Carolina beat Green Bay on the road yet lost to Buffalo by 31 and New Orleans by 10 at home. Los Angeles has won six straight games (5-1 ATS) with double-digit victories against everyone except Seattle. The Rams are real, and they’re spectacular … they’re the rightful Super Bowl favorites entering the week. This might be a demolition. Even though L.A. is playing an early body-clock game on the East Coast, Carolina just got throttled Monday night on the West Coast.
While the Rams are getting healthier, with Tutu Atwell and Ahkello Witherspoon returning from IR, the Panthers will be without six key players. They include safety Tre'Von Moehrig, corner Jaycee Horn and inside linebacker Christian Rozeboom. Look for LA to get off to a fast start and lead by at least a touchdown at halftime. I also like -10 for the full game, but prefer this bet with the fast-starting Rams.
Draftkings is still hanging at -10 and I'll gladly take it. There's not much positive you can say as it relates to how Carolina matches up against the Rams. The Rams have an incredibly dynamic offense and the Panthers defense is now down two important pieces in the secondary. The Carolina offense will try and establish the run, but this is a great Rams rush defense and their pass defense should have no issue with Bryce Young. It's a lot of points and it's a west coast team playing a 1:00 start, but these two teams are worlds apart. I'm ok playing the 10.5 if that's where it is at your book.
