Amari Cooper had a long touchdown called back due to a questionable holding penalty last week, and he also had one of his worst drops of the season. It turned into a Raiders' INT. Look for Cooper to bounce back as he continues to draw a big target share and air-yards share.
Ford has 10 or more carries in 3/4 games despite having terrible game scripts and tremendous bad luck. In fact in 3/4 games Clev RBs have totaled less than 15 rush attempts which is unsustainably low.
Until Nick Chubb returns, the Browns will continue to use Jerome Ford. He gets a great matchup against a Washington defense allowing 5.9 yards per carry over the last three games. Ford has ripped off 35- and 36-yard rushes this season and has cleared this prop total in three straight games.
This feels like a tough play to make, considering the current form of both clubs. But while Jayden Daniels and the surging Commanders have been fun to watch, they've done most of their damage against weak defensive teams. The Browns are in a near must-win situation to salvage their season, and expect a strong defensive effort to at least take this game to the wire.
Amari Cooper's stats through four games don't look super impressive, but he's had a lot of misfortune with some early inefficiency and a couple of long receptions being called back. The important stat to focus on, against a terrible Washington secondary, is his targets through 4 games. Cooper is averaging nearly 10 targets per game and he's seeing downfield targets as well. It's a great spot for an over and maybe even a ladder play.
I'll continue bite at this value. They are running the ball extreme well as a team but he makes it go and this is a better defense than they have seen lately and I suspect the rookie ends up doing more himself with his legs. Including finishing drives. Daniels has 4 rushing TDs already.
The Commanders have thrived in the underdog role the past two weeks, but now dress up as substantial favorites. This will be the best defense Jayden Daniels has faced. The Browns' offense has looked pathetic with poor offensive line and QB play and a slew of inexcusable dropped passes. But against the Commanders' shaky defense, the offense has a chance to look much better. I'm expecting a tight game and taking the points.
Everything continues to go wrong for the Browns with another O-lineman suffering an injury, while everything has been going right for Washington. That's adjusted this line significantly off the lookahead to a point where I think there's value backing the ugly 'dog. Jayden Daniels has excelled while playing a string of soft and/or injured defenses, and this is a massive step up in matchup. The Washington defense gave up only 14 points but Arizona finished in their territory on six of nine drives. If there's any hope for the Browns offense, they'll show up in this game, and I want to get ahead of any potential line move if their tackles start trending in the right direction.
