    Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

    Adam's Analysis:

It's always concerning when so much public money is on a side with the line not budging, but perhaps there are still questions about the Rams' recent improvement. My biggest concern is Sean McVay, who sometimes takes his foot off the gas when games are out of reach, allowing backdoor covers. Still, Los Angeles has found its offense with Matthew Stafford's bevy of weapons finally healthy, and LA has averaged 34.7 points per game over its last three, all covers. Washington has allowed 31+ points eight times this season and only scored 24+ four times, three of which were losses. The Rams are a tiebreaker out of the playoff and are playing the best football of any bubble team.

    Griffin's Analysis:

The Rams should have their way with the Washington Commanders today, especially through the air. Washington has allowed the second-most touchdowns per game to WRs, and the most passing yards and pass yards per attempt this season. Opt for some value with Demarcus Robinson to score, the WR3 on the Rams who has solidified some trust from Matthew Stafford. Robinson has 15 targets over the past two weeks, five of which have come in the red zone. He's scored in both games and should have his chances today.

    Daniel's Analysis:

Stafford, Puka, Kupp and Kyren Williams are all healthy, which spells big trouble for the Commanders. Washington ranks dead last in defensive pass DVOA. This Rams offense is starting to click, scoring 30+ in three straight games, and I expect these savvy rams receivers to dominate. The Commanders travel to the west coast for this game, and will be without lead running back Brian Robinson. If Sam Howell is forced into a shootout with Stafford, he will lose that battle. I expect the Rams to win by double digits here.

    Larry's Analysis:

The Commanders have given up 293.4 passing yards per game on the road, and now they have to face a dialed-in Matthew Stafford who's thrown for 10 TDs over his past three games. Washington's opponents pass at the second-highest rate above expectation. The Commanders give up the most explosive pass plays, too. Look for Stafford to have plenty of time to pick apart this defense.

    Kenny's Analysis:

Attack while you can and keep attacking the pourous Washington defense. That's my advise to the Rams offense. Washington has allowed 45 points back to back weeks! Stafford and company is 3-0 over the last three weeks while scoring 30+ points in each game.

    Mike's Analysis:

Antonio Gibson doesn’t receive a ton of carries, but he is the Commanders’ best pass-catching running back. Their defense has given up an average of 30.4 points per game, which often forces their offense to throw a lot to try and keep pace. That has helped Gibson record at least 37 receiving yards in three of his last four games. He should be on the field even more with Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) out, making the over the way to go here.

    R.J.'s Analysis:

The Rams offense showed up to play against the Ravens last week, and they can be expected to rack up points on this awful Commanders defense unless Ron Rivera did some major retooling during the bye. But the Rams defense is also susceptible to giving up points to a talented Washington passing attack, and I expect Eric Bienemy to pull out all the stops over the last four games as he auditions for a head-coaching job. We'll probably need a backdoor cover here in the second half, but I expect that we'll get it in a 3-4 point Rams win, especially now that Aaron Donald is questionable.

    Will's Analysis:

Shootout city coming in Los Angeles. The Rams offense is starting to really get rolling with Kyren Williams back. Matthew Stafford looks like his best self right now and is low-key having an outstanding season. Sean McVay might deserve some serious love for COY based on what he's done with this roster. Cooper Kupp and Puka Nakua should have a field day against a terrible Commanders defense and Washington will proceed to just keep dropping Sam Howell back over and over again in a comeback attempt. They should score enough to keep Stafford throwing and push this over the total.

    Jason's Analysis:

I expect a big blowout here, a substantial lead the Rams build with both the run and pass. Sean McVay can slice this defense up anyway he likes and he'll be able to run and throw on them just like his buddy Mike McDaniel did with the Dolphins a few weeks back. Plenty of second-half carries once the Rams open this up. WIlliams has gone over 20 rushes in three of the last four games. McVay likes to feature him for 5+ runs at a time at various points in games. Combo of explosive and ample runs will help key an easy win.

Nacua adds some energy and spark to the run game, and with just a three yard difference between his receiving totals and his scrimmage total, I'm going to play the scrimmage. I suspect Kupp is open all day against this broken pass defense and will able to do as he pleases here. His volume in the offense is increasing by the week, tying a season high with 8 catches last week on 10 targets. He's going to see double-digit targets and he's caught 75% of his targets from Stafford in his career. This math doesn't add up for me. I'm projecting more like 8+ receptions

    Jason's Analysis:

After a long injury saga, Kupp is back. He looked as spry and active last week, in bad weather, on the road, against a top secondary, than he has in a long time. Stafford has 10 passing TDs in the last three games and we know he looks for Kupp in the RZ. Kupp has been a TD machine when healthy and has them in two straight games. I see him getting 10 targets in this one against a pass D that has allowed an NFL-high 30 passing TDs. Has a knack for finding the weak spots in a zone and vacant space in a crowded endzone.

    Jason's Analysis:

Commandos have NFL's worst D. They allow 266 yd/G, and they don't face QBs as good as Stafford every week. Stafford is in peak form since his bye, has numerous WRs who are match-up issues and is 8th in air yards/att the last 3 weeks with a 103.1 rating. Rams live in 11 Personnel; WSH is last with 8.5 yard/pass allowed in 11 (CIN is a distant 31st at 7.9). They allow a 115.6 rating (32nd) and 21 TD to 2 INT. When Stafford's TD prop inevitably gets to 2.5 I'm jumping it rather than play it at 1.5 for 1:2 return. Road QBs have thrown for 279+ in 6 of 7 games vs WSH (even Ridder went over 300); only Mac Jones did not.

    Jason's Analysis:

The Rams just put up 30 at Baltimore and have 31 or more in three straight games and face a team that has allowed 29 or more in four straight games and 5 of 6. Matt Stafford has 10 TDs to 1 INT the last 3 weeks and is shredding far better defenses that WSH 32nd ranked team. WSH dead-last defending passes out of 11 personnel; Rams live it in and thrive in it. Rams run game is robust now and play action is deadly. All their WRs are healthy. The OL is legit and WSH has no pass rush. Terrible corner play. Rams can score quickly vs defense that has allowed 2nd most plays of 20 yards or more.

I want to grab this before people remember just how disgusting this Commanders defense is and how brutal they were before a bye. They allowed 150 points in their last 4 games and are facing a top offense here. Rams have scored 121 in their last 4. Four straight Commandos games have gone over 50. Three straight Rams games have since they got healthy at their bye. Sam Howell is much better on the road and they can score their 14-17 to help us get over this number comfortably. Two of the top 9 RZ offenses in the NFL will do their thing.

    Jason's Analysis:

The Rams are a totally different team since the bye, going 3-1 and damn near 4-0 after giving the Ravens all they could handle in Baltimore Sun. Stafford is playing like a top 5 QB, he has a top 5 RB, they run the ball very well and are solid defensively.. Have scored 31+ in 3 in a row and Commandos allow 29+ in 4 straight and over 30/G for the season. McVay might run it up on his old team like Mike McDaniel did, too. WSH last 3 games are losses by 30, 35 and 12. This will be another double-digit thrashing. Rams look playoff tough.
