The Titans have won and covered the last four meetings with the Colts, but throw the history out and break down who they are now. The Colts have won and covered their last two games, and the last one saw them beat the Jaguars despite rushing for only 45 yards with no Jonathan Taylor. The Jags ran for 243 yards. Hello, Derrick Henry. The Titans have won and covered their last three, including a 24-17 win at Indy three weeks ago. Taylor practiced some this week and is likely to play. The Colts won the last two without him. I think the Colts' game plan will have little rhythm and the Titans just keep on winning. Titans moneyline.
Matt Ryan played his best game of the season vs. Tennessee in Week 4, part of a resurgence that has saved Indy's season. The Colts still lost that game but they've won three of four and should get Jonathan Taylor back this week. They'll visit a Titans team that's managed a 3-2 record despite being the worst in the NFL in net yards per play. Mike Vrabel is much better ATS in the underdog role. Meanwhile, Frank Reich's Colts have covered seven straight as road underdogs. Take the points.
Good to grab this number in case Colts RB Jonathan Taylor is declared out again, in which case it could move to 3. Taylor is practicing, though he did some last week before getting scratched. Even if he plays, the Titans are in good stead. They limited Taylor to 42 rushing yards in Week 4. Their stellar RB, Derrick Henry, is refreshed from a bye week after averaging a tick over 100 yards per game the three previous gigs — all Tennessee straight-up wins. Indy’s offensive breakout last Sunday is no proof that it has solved woes that built up during the previous weeks.
I know that we're only entering Week 7 of the 2022 NFL season but this is kind of a big one for Mike Vrabel and his Titans. Having already defeated the Colts 24-17 in Week 4, the Titans can finish off the season sweep of Indianapolis Sunday and put themselves in excellent position to win the AFC South once again. Speaking of Mike Vrabel, his Titans are 8-0 SU and 8-0 ATS in the regular season coming off 8+ days rest. Not to mention they've won 4 straight against the Colts as well. Lastly, Tennessee is scoring a touchdown on 92.3% of their red zone possessions this season, easily the best in the NFL. Vrabel doesn't hide from letting his team know games that are must wins, every player and coach understands exactly what time it is. Now you do too.
