The Miami Dolphins have won three consecutive games, and they’ve been able to thrive because of their defense. Yet, they have had glaring issues offensively with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Expect the Panthers offense to be more settled in with Cam Newton’s second start, and for the Panthers to end the Dolphins' win streak. Grab the road favorite Panthers.

Wish I had jumped on this sooner but I'll still play the Panthers as 1.5-point road favorites. Miami has won three straight but two of those were the Jets and Texans. Look for Tua Tagovailoa to struggle against Carolina's elite pass defense. The Panthers rank second in pressure rate, and they typically shut down tight ends. That's huge considering how often Tagovailoa looks for Mike Gesicki and the other tight ends.

The Dolphins are coming off their third straight win but were only able to score 24 points against a horrendous Jets defense and never really pulled away. Now they face an elite Panthers defense that needs to be attacked on the ground, but Miami doesn't run the ball much or effectively. I expect a long day for the Dolphins offense similar to the Bills game, and it's tough to win if you're not scoring points. The Miami defense is on a run of strong play after the secondary got healthy, but facing an offense that runs through Christian McCaffrey is a different type of challenge. The Panthers feel like the much better team right now, and we don't even have to lay points with them.
