Joel Embiid is coming off a season high 25 minutes after scoring 20 points against the Celtics on Friday night. Embiid has had 3 days to rest and could see his minutes creep up to the 28-32 range against a vulnerable Bulls frontcourt. Chicago has been very generous to opposing Centers allowing the 5th most PPG to the position, in addition to Embiid routinely torching an overmatched Nikola Vucevic.

Tyrese Maxey has not scored fewer than 26 points in a game this season. Not only is he on pace to average at least 20 shot attempts per game for the third straight season, but he is also averaging 8.3 free-throw attempts. Although Jared McCain (thumb) is expected to make his season debut, I’m not going to let that scare me away from taking this over for Maxey. The Bulls love to push the pace, so there should still be plenty of scoring opportunities for him.

Nikola Vucevic is projected for 3.7 assists and has averaged 3.5 since last season, so we'll stick with the strategy of taking +$$$ on a line at or below both his average and projection. The over/under trends do not support us as he is only 32-48 over this line since last season, but recently he's shown some big assist numbers (9 on 10/27 and 7 on 10/29). Since last February Josh Giddey become super aggressive on offense and once he became a high end scorer, Vucevic's assists has increased from 3.43 to 3.69 and his over rate went from 18-30, 37.5% to 14-18, 43.8%.
Any time a team jumps out to an unexpected undefeated start, it’s an immediate attack for me off their first loss. That’s the case with the Chicago Bulls who we saw get three of their four home victories outright as home underdogs. Philadelphia may lack strong defense but their offensive scoring abilities are going to be to much for the Bulls. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Philadelphia have a forty point quarter, and I expect this line to shift in the 76ers favor by tipoff. Take Philadelphia.
