Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

Mike's Analysis:

Zion Williamson (back) and Yves Missi (hip) will not play in this game for the Pelicans. That should leave Karlo Matkovic to make his sixth start of the season. He hauled in at least 9 rebounds in four of his previous five starts. When he logged just 20 minutes off the bench against the Pistons last week, he still finished with seven rebounds. The over is the way to go here.

Bruce's Analysis:

Do the Pels even want to show up at Little Caesars after getting blown to Lake Ponchartrain when hosting the Pistons last Monday in a 127-81 Pistons wipeout? The 'Nawlins injury narrative continues, with Zion Williamson (back) once again a doubtful participant after missing the Pels' last game, another blowout loss (this one 134-93 at Minnesota) on Friday. Three times in the last five games, Willie Green's team has lost by 20 or more, including the Monday Detroit romp. Meanwhile, the Pistons could use another confidence boost vs. the Pels after a tough loss in Dallas on Friday. But Detroit has been mostly reliable this season and won't lack for confidence after hitting 55% from the floor ion last Monday's runaway win. Play Pistons
