FanDuel. Dalton Knecht gets the starting nod for the depleted Lakers on Monday. Going up against the Nets, it’s an excellent matchup against a trapping defense that ranks 27th against both spot-up shooters and transition points. Knecht has cleared this line in 8/11 games with 28+ minutes played.
The Lakers will be awfully thin up front sans LeBron James, Dorian Finney-Smith, Rui Hachimura and Jaxson Hayes. Trey Jemison is projected as the starting center. I don't even think Trey Jemison's mom believes he should be a starting center on the Los Angeles Lakers. Luka Doncic is questionable, but I would be surprised if he sat. Also a flat spot off that huge game in Boston on Saturday and the LeBron injury. If the Nets were a real team, I'd go crazy on this number. But they aren't many nights.
Apparently it's no LeBron (groin strain) for at least a week as the Lake Show embarks upon on a demanding stretch of six games in ten days after its 8-game win streak was put to the sword in Boston on Saturday. Luka Doncic also makes the injury report with back soreness, but no matter, the Lakers have not only been winning games but they've been going "under" with consistency since the Doncic trade, nine times in ten, in fact, the only exception last week vs. a sloppy Pelicans side that put forth very little effort on the stop end. Cam Thomas (hamstring) also misses tonight, but note Brooklyn was under 13-2 in the fifteen games without Thomas in front of his return. Play Lakers-Nets Under
Perhaps not the worst news for the Nets that top scorer Cam Thomas will miss tonight with a hamstring; Brooklyn hasn't won in the five games since he returned to active duty on February 28. Remember, Brooklyn had won 8 of 12 prior to the return of Thomas, as Jordi Fernandez has skillfully worked with the pieces at his disposal and deployed a deliberate pace that not only was adopted by the Nets, but prompted them to thrive. The Heat and Rockets (twice!) were among the teams Brooklyn topped in that stretch. Now the Nets catch the Lake Show minus LeBron (groin) and right after their 8-game win streak with Luka Doncic (check his status) was halted by the Celtics on Saturday. Play Nets.
