In the Lakers last game they pulled off a big upset at Madison Square Garden over the Knicks. Returning from an East Coast road trip is often difficult, and now elevated for the Lakers post Anthony Davis trade. Look for a bit of sloppy play as the Clippers take advantage on both ends of the court. Lay it with the Clippers.
The Luka Doncic debut for the Lakers is reportedly later this week, so the Lake Show is going to have much the same look when it recently lost in its last trip to the Intuit Dome as the Clips cruised by 14. Except this time no Anthony Davis, though the Lakers had been playing well without him the past week. We suspect tonight is more about the Clippers being back to full strength, namely top scorer Norman Powell back after missing Sunday's loss at Toronto. Clips have won eight of their last eleven, with the recent uptick also coinciding with Kawhi Leonard's return to active duty. Powell has been on an especially hot run, scoring 28 ppg his last four games. Play Clippers.

Lakers at Clippers is usually bad news for Lake Show. They have weary legs coming off long road trip, no AD and a hole in the middle. Clippers are reeling a bit but bounce back potential in their new arena, where they have been great. Zubac has 19 vs LAL a few weeks back and 19 the game before that and 13+ rebounds in 3 of his last 4 vs the Lakers. Did I mention AD got dealt to the Mavs? While the line indicates blowout potential I think the Lakers make this a game into the 4th quarter and Clippers have to ride their starters in a big spot for them coming off the road as well. The minutes should be there for Zubac.

With Max Christie shipped off to Dallas along with Anthony Davis, Rui Hachimura's role should only increase. He played 38 minutes Saturday against the Knicks, posting 21 points and three rebounds. In his only previous matchup with the Clippers this season, he put up 19 points and seven rebounds in 33 minutes. Luka Doncic isn't ready to make his Lakers' debut yet, so I bet Hachimura to go Over this combo line.

Norman Powell will make his return after sitting out Sunday against the Raptors. He is averaging 24.1 points per game for the season, so we are getting a bit of a discount with this line. Kawhi Leonard is back, but that hasn’t stopped Powell from scoring at least 22 points in each of his last eight games. The last time he played the Lakers, Powell scored 22 points with Leonard in the lineup. The Lakers traded away two of their best defenders in Anthony Davis and Max Christie, so Powell is primed to score in bunches again.
