The Grizzlies have a favorable matchup against the Pistons, who have the fifth-worst defensive rating in the league. However, they will be severely shorthanded. Desmond Bane and Vince Williams Jr. have been ruled out, John Konchar is listed as doubtful and Santi Aldama is listed as questionable. Expect to see a lot of Pippen, who has scored at least 11 points in each of his last four games. Since joining the Grizzlies, he has averaged 11.5 points over 24 minutes per game. This is a great opportunity for him to score at least 11 points again.

Scottie Pippen Jr. has made the most of his opportunities filling in as the Grizzlies Point Guard after Memphis suffered numerous injuries at the position. Pippen is undrafted and in his second season in the NBA having made 8 career starts. Pippen has eclipsed this line in four consecutive games and will look to make it five straight as he is in line for another start against the Detroit Pistons. I like this spot for Pippen as I believe this game will be competitive for four quarters which should result in a minimum of 28+ minutes for Pippen. Pippen Jr. is not only auditioning for a spot on the Grizzlies but to show the rest of the league he belongs.
Neither of these teams scores with any ease and Memphis is known for its defense. 6 of the last 8 Grizz games have gone over, but I see this being a slog between teams counting down the days til vacation. These are the 28th and 29th rated offensive teams in March. DET is 9-2 to the Under and their last two haven't cracked 200 points. I'm far from convinced both teams get to 100 here.
