Everything points to Golden State here. The Warriors are rolling, at home, and Jamal Murray is out for Denver. Nothing is that easy. Take the points with the Nuggets, who are 9-7 without Murray this season with a handful of marquee wins, including one over the Warriors.
What do we make here of the Warriors, who look to have turned their season around in recent weeks? It's now wins and covers in eight of nine since Steve Kerr put Draymond Green in the lineup at center and Golden State now fully embracing the small-ball that has been more of an adjunct strategy in recent seasons. Always effective, however, but the wear and tear on green could accelerate here vs. the Joker and the Nuggets. Denver, however, recently lost three straight, and has only gotten well in front of and after the All-Star break by the lowly Wizards and Blazers. Note the Dubs have covered the first three meetings this season while still looking for a win. Play Warriors
Jonathan Kuminga has seen his playing time dip over the last three games and gets a tough draw against Aaron Gordon and the Nuggets on Sunday. In my estimation Gordon is the league's best defender when it comes to slowing down opposing wing players. He will be tasked with shutting down Kuminga who has struggled from an efficiency standpoint. Look for Kuminga to continue to cede minutes on a Warriors team that is healthy with strong depth.
