It shows how much little brother gets up for games versus big brother. I think the Clippers will cover this one especially since LeBron James is out. However, the bet I feel has more value is under the total of 235. I think without LeBron the Lakers pace will slow down plus their offensive efficiency will also suffer. The Clippers defense ranks 14th in the NBA however I have them rated 5th best defense. Against their biggest rival I think both teams play their best overall defense. My model has this total at 223, so I"m made a double play.

This is a big number for Mason Plumlee who is seeing a few more minutes since Clippers starting Center Ivica Zubac suffered a calf strain that has caused him to miss time. Plumlee has been part of a platoon at Center but his minutes fluctuate and the Clippers have additional depth in their front court. They also opt to go small at times as well and that could be the case against the Lakers tonight. I believe Plumlee falls short of this combo line unless he plays more minutes than he's ultimately projected/expected to play.

Though it hasn't worked quite the same this season, with the Lake Show winning a couple of close decisions, in recent campaigns this matchup has been all Clippers, who had won 11 in a row from the Lakers before that OT loss on November 1. The Clips enter tonight with momentum after winning 10 of 12 and scoring the last 22 points of the game on Sunday vs. the Nets to win going away 125-114, confirming that almost anything is possible in the NBA. But with LeBron James out and the Clippers focused on stopping Russell from scoring, look for Russell to have a big game as a distributor. He's notched at least eight assists in all four games James has missed.
