It's not easy to beat the same team twice in its own gym in one of these baseball-type series -- Boston won by 17 in Indianapolis on Saturday but won't have Jayson Tatum tonight. He had 38 points and was plus-19 on Saturday. While Indy is a nice city, my guess is that the Celtics really can't wait to leave after tonight's game considering they have been there since Friday. The Pacers are at full strength.

What has been an emerging Pacers pattern, however, is a bit of dial-back on the pace which was breakneck for most of the first two months of the season, as only three of the last nine Pacers games have cleared 247, and the previous meeting December 4 landed only at 234. If you were to look at Jrue Holday's counting stats it would be natural to assume the 2x All-Star is having a down season, however I don't believe that to be the case. For starters, Holiday is adjusting not only new teammates but an entirely new role where the ball is in his hands significantly less than it was in Milwaukee. Holiday is also an excellent two way player and has made the All-Defense team five of the last six years. The Celtics will be without their MVP as Jayson Tatum is getting the night off. This will lead to a big bump in usage for Holiday and this is an optimal opponent considering the Pacers lead the NBA in possessions per game.
