Beasley should get lots of opportunities against a Washington team that sometimes appears as though they don’t realize that there is a defensive end of the floor. Even in a blowout his minutes should be enough to go over.
This is a great matchup for Malik Beasley, who has scored at least 20 points in two of his last three games. The Wizards have the sixth-worst defensive rating in the league. Beasley has faced a team ranked inside the bottom-10 in defensive rating six times this season. He came away with at least 10 points in four of them. Never one to shy away from jacking up three-pointers, look for Beasley to reach double digits in the scoring column again.
We've noted this earlier, but the biggest difference between this Milwaukee version and the one coached by Mike Budenholzer in recent years has been on the defensive end. While Adrian Griffin's troops rank near the bottom on the stop end, Coach Bud's Bucks always ranked near the top, and the proliferation of over results suggests as much. The Wiz will be glad to run and Giannis ought to like it, too, after pouring in 40 during the high-scoring win over Dallas on Saturday. Play Bucks-Wizards Over
Bucks guard Malik Beasley has played 30-plus minutes in three straight games. He's a deadly 3-point shooter (46.1 percent this season), and most of his attempts come from long distance. Beasley has launched 33 shots from beyond the arc during Milwaukee's four-game win streak. In a fast-paced matchup against Washington, I like Beasley to drain at least three 3-pointers for the fifth time in his past seven games.
Isn’t betting against the Wizards and winning money so much fun? The Bucks are playing inspired basketball, and they are figuring out how to use Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo in pick-and-roll. Milwaukee could win this game by 40 if they really wanted to. That’s how bad Washington is.
