We saw last night that some teams seemed to be rather disinterested playing on the road in their final game before some much-needed time off during the All-Star break, and the Wizards are playing a third West Coast(ish) road game in four nights ,so they really might be mentally checked out. Minnesota plays at home for the first time since Feb. 5 and is 20-12 there. Had to wait until right up on the 30-minute deadline to make sure Rudy Gobert and Kyle Anderson were playing. They are.

Daniel Gafford is coming off a foul-plagued game against the Portland Trailblazers. He was only able to play 15 minutes, his fewest since Dec. 17. Look for Gafford to have ample opportunities Thursday against a Timberwolves team that plays a big lineup. Take Gafford’s over 9.5 points

Morris has gone over this number in four of his last six games averaging 5.7 APG. In the first meeting between these two teams, Morris was one of four Wizards with five or more assists. Morris had five assists in just 22 minutes. The other three players with at least five assists was backup point guard Jordan Goodwin, starting shooting guard Bradley Beal, and small forward Kyle Kuzma. The Timberwolves have allowed a point guard on the opposing team to have five or more assists in six straight games. Love this number.

This has the potential to be a high-scoring game for the Timberwolves since the Wizards have allowed an average of 116.6 points over their last seven games. Conley is now their leader at point guard, coming over from the Jazz to replace D’Angelo Russell. He has averaged 7.6 assists per game for the season, and he’s coming off a matchup against Mavericks in which he dished out nine assists over 32 minutes. He has familiarity with Rudy Gobert from their time together with the Jazz, and he has an excellent scorer playing alongside him in Anthony Edwards. Look for the veteran Conley to reach the over here.
